I am a natural fist clencher all the time and only release when i become aware of it.I also press very hard on the pen when I am writing and if I use a ball point pen you can read the writing a few pages on.Usually I write in my daily journal with a fountain pen,then because the nib is a little delicate I am minded to ease the pressure.

I got one a couple of years ago after I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and got told off by the nurse at my GP. To my shame I’ve never used it and it’s been gathering dust in the bathroom. Sorry. I must use it.  |

As a PS. Mrs BrentwoodO is a nurse and she tells me off for drinking coffee and not drinking enough water before a blood test. But in my defence I point out that she smokes and that she can’t handle more than two pints of lager before she starts effing and Jeffing, but I know better than to argue with her.

Here in N Croatia, blood/urine tests are an obsession. Everyone can tell you their levels of blood sugar, LDL cholesterol, uric acid, bilirubin, male PSA and other stuff l can't remember. There's a walk-in free testing centre in every regional town (you must prove you pay the NHS), people worry if they go 6 months without a blood/urine test. Every house has a BP test machine, people boast they have a 'Bosch' or whatever. I like the focus on keeping an eye on your health although some folks take it to extremes - whilst smoking 30 fags a day.

I believe the NHS compares badly with some other countries health system,but when I have need of it,it has mostly served me well. |
