Just been reading that some UK tourists will boycott Europe for holidays because of the new travel regulations. Bloody good job, be much nicer for those of us who enjoy a trip abroad to our European neighbours. They might like to know we are also imposing a visa system and its dearer than the EU one. Travel regulations apply throughout the world. No big deal. Countries want to control their borders and righty so. It’s an increasing trend. I dare say we have people in the U.K. that they don’t want visiting, I can understand that. Some may see this as anti-UK. It’s not, we are just being included within the current schemes applied elsewhere. The way of the world these days. It really is not a big deal and the cost, compared with overseas travel in general is small. They want to control their borders, not reduce lucrative tourist income. They ain’t stupid. |

To see the images of thousands of EU flags flying at the proms thing fills us with hope. The British people have spoken. End the BREXIT nightmare and REJOIN EU NOW They most certainly have. In 2016, as I recall. Responding to kbola. I too watched the proms. Firstly there were some, but not thousands, of EU flags. But remember the proms are attended by people of many countries, not just the Brits, so could just as easily have been waved by Europeans who have lost their own national identity. Sadly some have. But interestingly I also saw a decent number of German flags, you will have too. So applying your logic, we have some Brits who want to join the EU and others who want to join Germany! Not too sure that is right. Your logic is illogical. Think about it. Sorry to say but yours are ill-thought-out comments. Propaganda at its finest. |

Im pretty sure the young will take us back in to the EU. The main body of Brexiteers always seemed to be oldies and racists. Absolutely correct watfordo. The young like me are far more open minded and sophisticated than the old men shouting at the clouds who voted for BREXIT and represent the usual angry little clan on this forum |

Using their own historical analysis as I understand it, that description will only be apt if we have a winter. But we get one every year so it’s reasonable. I can think of one or two more. Robber-lover, thief-lover, maybe just criminal-lover, covers it well. Thinking about recent events a whole host of adjectives are apt. Wait till the budget and I’m sure a few more will arise. What about belt-the-aged to replace help-the-aged. cock-up Kier. The opportunities are endless. Politicians stoop to lows but in such a short time he has presided over some disgusting actions. But at least his wife gets new, smart, clothes for free. |

On a more interesting note. Starmer’s popularity has dropped below 30% in just 70 days. The worst ever performance. Other notable falls from grace hitting this low are:
Tony Blair at 1014 days
Boris Johnson 762 days
Margaret Thatcher 676 days
So 70 is some going for a sitting election winning PM
His tenure thus far has been catastrophic. Pensions, Prisons. Freebies, advisor wages, running down the good name of the country, wage settlements to his union paymasters. His inability to answer questions other than the £20b already laid bare during a TV interview.
I shudder to think what is in store in the next budget.
What a shambles.
