Mick Lynch RMT. “Can I make a declaration of interest up front, All my suits are bought by my wife from Marks and Spencer”. 😂😂😂 I’m pleased to see the Unions are rallying against the fuel allowance cut. So they should. 15% for Aslef, 22% over 2 years for doctors paid for by risking the death of those older people who barely make enough money to live. Good on the Unions.

Too much political comment will kill this board, just like it’s killing the other one. There’s a seperate section for past players, I reckon we should have a seperate section for political debate. Then you can all play with yourselves and leave the main board for football matters.

Particularly as Starmer is getting involved in football governance matters. providing the Opening post topic is clear, people can choose to participate or ignore.

I understand your point doh and in theory at least you should be right. Sadly, some people will not see beyond the “ political” differences which then bleeds into and taints other debate around football matters. We’ve all seen it and you yourself have been a victim of it in the past. I tend to agree with BB on this matter personally.

As my mother used to say, “leave your politics at the front door “. Opinions are formed over decades and no amount of argument will sway people one way or the other. Yes appointing a Football ombudsman is on the current government agenda, just as it was under the previous administration, but rather than stick to the subject, things spiral into mud slinging. Just bores me crazy.

Yes appointing a Football ombudsman is on the current government agenda, just as it was under the previous administration, but rather than stick to the subject, things spiral into mud slinging. Just bores me crazy. My politics swings, if you pardon the expression. I’ve voted Liberal, liked Jo Grimomd then Jeremy Thorpe, though went right off him. Liked Harold Wilson, Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair and even John Major. Would have gone Labour if the better Milliband Brother got the gig. Cameron was Ok. None of the current bunch. When you look at elections plenty of people change. Sure some people never change, but plenty do. People vote, in my opinion, based on whatever party will make them better off.. I listen, take note of the leaders and vote accordingly. I dislike the current bunch equally. That something bores you crazy doesn’t mean it does with others. Certainly don’t bore me. Sadly opinions have been tainted by the other place But in the interests of others, I’ll stop.
