Sorry Thor, I think Devlin has it about right here. If Jim McC, or anyone else, puts in a "significant sum" then they will want a reasonable measure of control over the how things are done. Devlin stresses we have not sold the club but we are taking advantage of McCaffrey's money and management nouse, there's plenty of both. The club put a full report on the website within 20 hours of the game - that's new. Simon O'Connor was there with full stills and (we think) double-take video set up. Today we see a complete photo gallery of Sunday's game (new) plus an edited video of all the goals (new), we played at the best pitch at Myrak Park (new) and we understand the girls will play at Brissy circa 5 times this season, more next season. This is expensive stuff, add the life blown into the relevant instagram account and you can see big things are happening.
Sunday's game demonstrated how much better than tier 7 we are, in fact, the Greater London Premiership (tier 7) is miles better than any tier six league we've seen. It's harder than getting out of the NL but it must be done. In addition, Tayla Gencarelli is a new-to-us quality central defender and would not be with us if she didn't see big things coming along. Oakland cut through our defence 3 times in the first half and got goals on each occasion, Tayla came on at half time and put a stop to that! There'll be more to come.
