Good comment by dohnut. Yes years ago I did have a few problems using compatible cartridges but in recent years standard has gone up and no problems encountered by myself for a long time now. I tend to buy from sellers on ebay with good reviews and if good result, then stick to that seller. Thing is going by Epson printers ) they charge cheap price for the printer, then come the cartridge refill, near enough the same price as the printer to buy a new set of cartridges. I just use my EpsonXP-442 for general home use and a new set of 4 cartridges lasts me on average around one year plus! I always buy 5, the 3 coloured cartridges plus 2 black ones, reason for that being in general use due to most work being printing writing, black gets more usage than the colours. When installing compatable cartridges on the Epson printers, you get a warning telling you that it is not an Epson cartridge and do you wish to proceed and you just continue with the installation and it works fine. My friend also has an Epson Printer/scanner that he purchased from Argos around 4 years ago for just over £40 and it is still working fine. Cheaper model than mine which was purchased around 6 months before for around £50. He is not technical so I install the cartridges for him. Difference in my cartridge prices as follows. Argos for genuine Epson 29 Strawberry Ink Cartridges - Black & Colour set of 4 is £43.99 and that is not a bad price ! In July this year I purchased on eBay from seller Go Inks who I have used before and who has a ''99.4% positive Feedback '' 5 Ink Cartridges XL for Epson Expression Home XP-245, XP-332, XP-352, XP-442 price paid was £7.75 and that is for 2 black cartridges and the three colours. Installed and working fine as did the previous cartridges I purchased from the same seller. Absolutely. If you find a reliable source, stick with it. When I purchased cartridges I used a local photography shop. Generally good and quick to replace faulty ones. But now I’ve gone down the more expensive printer with cheap ink option. Epson. I do a decent amount of printing and have changed the black once in 18 months. Colours still over half full, reckon I’ll get 3 years out of the tank, black every 18 months. And the ink is Epson branded and very cheap. Horses for courses. I personally will never go back to cartridges, not because I don’t rate them, I used them, but the sheer convenience of rare refilling and I’ve never had to run through the cleaning process yet. I’m just lazy, I don’t carry spares and just carry on printing. Horses for courses. You quite obviously are very technically able to set up printers, a fairly high user I would guess and able do what ever is needed to keep them running. I am just a home user and on average may sometimes only use my printer once a week to print on a couple of A4 pages at most. Fortunately I am able to set up my printer and change the cartridges myself, also do it for others not able to understand such things. I can recommend the Epson home user inkjet printers. My friend had an HP printer and found it hard to set up, change cartridges etc and expensive to run.

HP ENVY PRO 6430 is the one I have now.Laser seems a good idea does that need any ink and how long do they last. Laser printers, unlike inkjet printers, do not use ink cartridges. Instead laser printers use toner cartridges, so be sure to purchase accordingly depending on your printer. If you decide to instead buy replacement cartridges for your HP printer, ensure you buy the XL size which will last a lot longer than the standard size cartridge.

Is it a tile roof that is leaking ? I had no knowledge of roofing but climbed on my own roof and found the leak and repaired it two years ago. have you contacted a roof repair firm to see if the leak can be fixed ? This looks a decent printer for a low cost of £59.99, Epson XP-3200 Inkjet Printer - ReadyPrint Flex Compatible Argos part number 117/0094

So sorry to hear that and really hope the problems gets sorted out soon. Try not to get too down in the dumps, life is so hard at times and can be like the waves in the sea with its ups and downs. Getting back to the printer, if it works well then consider this deal, see below. The two cartridges, black plus the colour one XL sizes the two for a price of £34.90, sounds good to me. Any help I can give you I will only be too pleased to help you, kind regards. Alias Dennis Rofe.

Just seems to be one problem after another, four in the house at present, family worries and really just await the dread phone call.Outsiders making some issues that do not exist. Just had the call from the pain clinic who really try to help and have suggested a certain course to see if that helps,if not then a face to face to see how we can overcome the problem. The NHS as it should be,but I have always thought nothing but good about Whipps Cross since my first meniscectomy in 1974,agonising pain and saw the world cup or the first two weeks in a hospital bed in Mary Ward. Now when I go to outpatients I go into the same rooms where I laid the floors in 1992 that have caused my problems with knees.

I presume you are talking of knee pain ? I think you have said before that you have had knee replacement done on both knees and nerve pain in one knee. When I read about the pain that you were getting, I was worried about having the knee replacement done to myself.
The damage to my right knee was done via a very bad ACL injury that I got playing football in around 1970 and despite a few operations it got worse over the course of time. I fell over in the ice in December 2022 and badly wrenched the right knee ligaments and spent the rest of 2022 in a lot of pain and had to use crutches when I went out of the house. In the end I thought well the pain cant get much worse than this if I get a knee replacement so was offered it on the NHS and took it. I did a lot of research and was able to get it done on the NHS at a top orthopedic hospital by a very good experienced surgeon. Got it done in March this year and a lot of sever pain for around the first 5 weeks after the operation and during that recovery time was on non stop 24 hour a day strong pain killers. After that time the pain gradually got better and out of pain now and can walk around now pain free in the right knee. Left knee is a problem, had an accident in year 2001 approx when twisted my knee when falling over carrying a heavy load resulting in having yet another knee operation and having half torn cartilage removed. I get by with that knee and not looking to have knee replacement in it for the foreseeable future.I found ibuprofen tablets helped ease my knee pain. Wish you best of luck in getting help with your pains and problems. Yes I also have some problem neighbours, I just want a peaceful life now.
