When you disappeared from the board for a while,was all ok? I decided to have a break from the board as I didn't agree with the anti-cycling rhetoric on here…At the same time, I joined Twitter and found the abuse much worse. Which is fuelled by the press/media.You can't change people's views when it is so biased like this.
The negative views don't bother me now I'm used to it/had years of it but what concerns me when cycling out there this leads to deliberate bad driving cut up/being driven at (bullying) and abuse…Even had things thrown at me when cycling…I'm sure the negativity leads to this poor driving behaviour. Why is it like this now ? It wasn't like this in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Hope you are in full recovery from your illness.Have you seen the videos of John Trevithick's(I think I have spelt that right)Steam Engine rumbling through a town in Cornwall,quite a sight,looks frightening now,heaven knows what they thought it was all those years ago.

All my cycling is on a Spinner these days. Just finished Lands End to John O’Groats with a map and Km distances to take away the tedium. And YouTube cycling videos to change the scenery. Hope you are back in the saddle soon. Take care. |
