Not this year, I've been suffering Cancer. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you’ll be able to ride your indoor bike trainer, if you still have it. All my cycling is on a Spinner these days. Just finished Lands End to John O’Groats with a map and Km distances to take away the tedium. And YouTube cycling videos to change the scenery. Hope you are back in the saddle soon. Take care. Mainly walking, my feet are frauked up by the Chemo0 dodgy balance…Fell off the bike twice on the same day down backstreets in Leytonstone so knocked the bike riding on the head…That was late June but basically most of the year I have only cycled when I needed to go round the hospital, but now I catch a 257 bus which I discovered stopped there.I was a rare bus user so never clocked it before and was using the W15 W19? Buses beforehand.Set a record today, 20000+ steps.

What’s the difference a DELTIC and a Class 55? 🤷♂️ This is a Deltic.
Capable of doing 1000mph on the mainline passenger trains.

Not an app on mine, I have two enduro 8 LCD cycling computers connected to the back wheel;...Seems quite accurate I did 174 miles last month but this month I've done 47 as this month I've been more active outdoors. All the Enduro 8s do it tot up the miles and the speed. Magnet on wheel and reed switch on frame.

Nothing so fancy for us as an app. Looked without success. The cycling apps we used had nothing to do with the journey itself, just a bit of interest to take away the boredom of looking at the same walls, and helped with the ride. I used google maps to plot a route with major cities or towns as waypoints. Then identified smaller waypoints between each town, worked out the distance in kilometres. Using the iPad and put this on a spreadsheet. total distance was 1347 Km and took me and Mrs dOh 4 months to complete. Cheat mode, we chose the shortest route we could find. All a bit rough and ready, went via Exeter, Bristol, Cheltenham and so on. Being lightweights we did circa 20k on the days we exercised. So a leisurely pace but for us the importance was regular exercise, and this worked. Once we got going it was a labour of love and a determination to finish. Motivation. Our spinners measure distance in Km (or miles) so no need for added technology. Scotland was the best. Few big towns and cities but the route went via Dalwhinnie, Tomatin and Glen Morange. Celebrated each of these with a drop of whisky distilled in these locations. Rude not too. 😂 Without this type of motivation it’s too easy to “give it a miss” Amazingly it’s got us back to regular spinning. Now doing a tour of Los Angeles, 250k. Shorter but this time with more effort in resistance and speed. What ever it takes to get us exercising. The Gym and weights get tedious PS. Im Happy to share our route, distances etc.

I'm also into exercising, that's why I'm gonna buy a drum kit.💪 I always thought the Stratford station diesels were Deltics. It's taken me 66 years to find out that they're not. CA begone.

Well, I heard that somewhere…
