As a small point, when a match is played in continuous sunshine it never seems to be a good one. Also thought the ref was good.If RW didn't get booked he must have been good.

Wrexham did finish the game more strongly, but for me that was because Galbraith was switched to a wingback as James ended up in the back 3, Ball was tiring, Donley was off and we were missing Clare. We have a capable squad, which when fit will compete with anyone.

I thought Wrexham were s***e. You really wouldn't have guessed who was top of the league. It's a travesty that we haven't won that match. Did we deserve to win? Despite 70 minutes of domination we managed 1 shot on target to Wrexhams 2. They also hit the post and how that scramble didn’t result in a goal beats me. Bottom line is until we get more shots on target we deserve bugger all. Nothing in this game for a good performance, only goals. Fair assessment. Both Peterborough on Tuesday and Wrexham yesterday have come away with a point that they shouldn’t really have got. Home form really has to pick up if we are going to push on into the upper half of the table.

Hopefully we can follow these half decent results with our first home league win of the season on Tuesday evening. We are very much part of this league and improving.

Shots on target don’t always tell the story of a game. Sometimes chances created that result in a shot off target are so good that they should have resulted in a goal.

But shots off target include those that orbit the moon or hit the corner flag, they don’t really tell the story either. Nor does possession stats The only story once the game is over are points. To win you generally need to score, which means shots on target. We need more than we create. A good performance, which for 70 minutes it was, in reality boosts confidence. But that’s it. And 1 point not 3. Again.

The crowd was very quiet from both sides, the occasional chorus but I just thought it lacked what we saw in the Posh game, albeit a different set up from RW.On another point I thought Clare in midfield had a great game and when he went off injured Wrexham prospered more.

Wrexham have only failed to score in 2 out of 10 matches in all competitions this season, one was Bolton away in the EFL (0-0) and the other was against us.
What's the new keeper like?

Hopefully he's settling down now, but for him we'd have at least 7 more points. That's goals he's messed up which my nan could save.
