I’m an optimist in life generally, but I don’t think you can be an O’s fan without having a bit of pessimism in you. After all, supporting the O’s is hardly all glory.

I do get waht you are saying, but we don't really get success so for me anyway I always want to think optimistically about the future and success. If I lived the life of a pessimistic person I don't think I'd survive. Life is about winning and being the best you can be, set yourself high targets and reach for them and you just might get there. Think that there's no future for you and guess what, there won't be. Be positive, be confident and believe in yourself.

Being an Orient supporter is a badge of honour, the very highest any football fan can achieve.Only one East London Orient(East London was for the pedants)

This great world is a bubble, where all must the burden bare;Make the most of the bubble and you'll have but neighbours fare. Let not fortune alarm you, fear not fortune will harm you. What is past, tis but is vain to wish for those times again.
A song sung lustily in my schooldays and it makes reference to the south sea bubble a company that had nothing but what you thought it had.Built on nothing it collapsed and many lost fortunes they had for a short time, and many friends for that reason, who, when all was done slithered away.

Change of view. Pessimist, relegation battle all ready, look at the table and the gaps. Didn’t see that coming.
Mind you, the solar panels look good. We can light up the stadium really well, just not with the football, too many 20 watt bulbs out there.

So I spent my whole life being optimistic, building successful teams and encouraging everyone I came in contact to be the best version of themselves, and I was successful. Doesn’t mean that come Saturday I don’t feel a bit pessimistic about our chances, especially as I have no control over the outcome 😁

Realist, I should say - someone once asked me if I was a "glass half full" or "glass half empty" sort of chap. My response was that it depends what's in the glass....make of that what you will! Indecisive - and I would be the same!

Always expect the team to give what I gave while working, but I am noticing a bit of apathy by some players.
