If , as according to RW in the interview, between 70 & 80% of shots on target against us are going in, then it might be very difficult to fix tbh!🫤 Perhaps we could do worse than try giving the young Spurs Keeper a chance or even our own young keeper Noah Phillips ? Well, we won’t know unless it’s given a try that’s for certain.

''All skirt and no knickers''.....language Timothy !!
I have heard it said in a slightly different way as ''All fur coat and no knickers''
Kippers and curtains is another one. Love these old sayings Never heard of that one so I looked i up and it said as follows......It meant people who liked to look well off, "ie posh curtains" but lived very cheaply "ie kippers !

I read on the other forum and think I also heard on Richie's after match video that Beccles got pushed up front for the last part of the match and did ok ?
If true then surely not taking in forum chat ideas ?

No I genuinely don’t think so in this case den. It’s one thing pushing a CB up front for the last few minutes to try and salvage a point. The thread on the other Board seemed to me to be more about sticking Beckles ( or maybe Cooper) up front as a starter in a target man type role. That idea I personally don’t think would work tbh.👍

He’s going to be frustrated because he can’t quite get his team to play as he wants them to and thinks they should do. If the Spurs loanee puts in a decent performance between the sticks on Tuesday, reckon he should be given the chance against Northampton. Probably a good time to have a break and reset before we are back in league action. Richie isn’t going to change his style of playing, high press is what he believes in and it has brought us success. I’d like him to give Agyei a start in the striking role and bring Kelman on at 60 minutes, when his extra energy might make a difference. A striker thrives on confidence, a couple of goals could turn his season around and with it ours.

Definitely a good time to be without a league game for a fortnight ( even though I was moaning about the postponement before!😆). I’m not saying Richie should change his style of playing but there’s an old saying along the lines of if you keep doing the same thing, don’t expect different results.!👍

To be fair redshank I thought old sayings, quotes, and their origins would be something you would be interested in. I find them fascinating. For example, came across this recently. being ‘Pizz poor’, goes back to the days when the poor would sell urine to tanneries. They peeed in a pot to sell it. ‘ Not having a pot to Pizz in’ was related to those who were really poor and didn’t even have a pot to fill. Sleep tight goes back to beds made of ropes as a base. The rope needed to be tight to facilitate a comfortable night. i enjoy digging around. Shakespeare of course originated so many. Nothing is more intolerable than to admit one’s errors to oneself. Beethoven. Old Ludwig has few.

Surely not …can you imagine 😂 no way is he doing that! It's an old tactic of sending up your big lump centre halves to cause havoc and occupy their centre halves which hopefully let's your forwards sneak in and grab a goal. It doesn't happen to often though and I can't remember the last time we did this and we scored from it.

Our version was,As I was walking down the lane I thought I smelt some kippers,I asked a lady what it was ,she said she'd wet her knickers. The rope cost 2D a night, without it cost 1D.Ludvig had little to say as he decided to live alone due to his increasing deafness and people pee taking.

Agyei has tremendous ability He now scored again showing his pace and strength down the middle with defenders left in his shadow Why cannot he be played in that more central role and have Kelman ( who made his goal with a very nice headed pass ) on the wing ie just switch their positions. He reminds me of Cyril Regis of WBA and that is a very high bar to be compared to as Cyril was fantastic player Cyril Regis and Dan Agyei are/were vastly different players. Cyril was a far stronger and more skillful player. Cyril was a brilliant centre forward, fast, direct and very good header of the ball.
Modern day transfer value at his peak Cyril would have been worth many millions of pounds.
Goal of the season - 1981/82 Cyrille Regis West Bromwich Albion v Norwich City

Yes Cyril was fantastic In the clip it shows similarity in the fact he turns and the opposition are left behind Agyei has created that type of visual impression too
