Hard to disagree with this. While he stopped the utterly calamitous errors, he doesn't actually save anything that comes his way.

Have to agree he was nowhere near saving drapers shot. 16 saves made and 14 goals conceded - save percentage of 53%. Only the Shrewsbury ones from memory he had no chance with. Time for the other guy

Poor keeper. We all know that even ignoring the errors. But we all know that won’t change. He’s what we have this season, we just carry on and hope he don’t get too much to do. Improve his distribution shouldn’t be beyond his ability. I’m even starting to miss Howes.
As for summer signings, some decent ones. Clare, Currie Ball, solid players,. But why sign Pratley if we ain’t going to play him more than the odd minutes? DJ, Warrington, Hemming. Kelman (may yet prove OK, please) Donley starting to improve. Yet we let Moncur go. And I’d sooner have Pigott than Perkins that’s for damn sure. Just hope we ain’t picking up part of their wage bill.
Not good. But it’s what we have. So let’s hope RW and his coaches can do their stuff and get us out of this mess, a mess largely of our own making. Still plenty of time and I still think we are better than our league position suggests. We should be OK.

My work colleague who follows Wealdstone said howes is playing well. He said he played for us before and since he’s returned has been playing well. I’m gonna keep asking him as the season progresses.

I must agree with much of the above. Everybody has been trying to give Hemming a chance by treading on eggshells after his terrible start and highlighting the modest improvement he has made. So whilst he’s not actually giving goals to the opposition now he’s not actually doing a great deal to stop them. Lots of fans have - rightly- criticised the club’s recruitment of forwards in the summer. The job that was done on goalkeepers was equally bad I think.

I'm reluctant to chip in on this thread as I don't wish to criticise players, however I have an observation. When Hemmings moves around his box, his leg movement doesn't look like a normal keeper movement. For me, he moves around like a non-keeper would in that he crosses his legs. When I look at keepers, they shuffle around (side to side). Like in boxing, when you move side to side you don't cross your feet over. One other thing whilst I'm on it. I hate it when keepers put their hands out to their sides, like they're doing the electric slide, to indicate the ball is going wide. Either Hemmings has got cyborg judgement or he is risking close calls. I played with a keeper for a youth team and he did the electric slide hand gesture all the time, but the problem was he kept letting balls creep inside the post and then apologised - over and over.
I wonder if Hemmings is enjoying his time with us. I saw some mouthing of discontent from him. Gives me a vibe that he's unhappy in some way.
The young spurs keeper looked good. I wish Hemmings well and to be the keeper to do us proud.

I get the feeling something is going to go mammaries up at Leyton Orient. But then I remember we are not a top six premier league club and behave with a little decency. Five games without a defeat has turned into four games and two points, three at home. Two wins all season I needed some cheer, all I got was the way only an Orient defeat can bring. What do you think will happen, and do you think the Sky deal and the odd ko times match postponements have anything to do with it,or do we have a pp team and a pp manager or one of the previous two.Just what is it we lack,I know we lack money.
Signed,Worried blue eyes.

I think we will just be ok, come the end of the season, but it is going to be close.
Before the season started I thought the teams that would go down would be the 4 that are currently at the bottom, and that we would finish just above them, and that's still my thinking, but the Keeper situation is of great concern. We had Rhys Wilmott on loan in the 80's and he was largely responsible for us being relegated. Hemmings stats are terrible, and as has been said above his lack of any real threat to saving the second goal yesterday is awful.
We have messed things up with having 6 players on loan and only being able to name 5 in a Matchday squad, meaning Keeley has not even been on the bench. He will no doubt play agaist Colchester on Tuesday night, and if he plays well, I'd like to see him get a few games in the league too.

An excellent comment, the loan player point is one I was not even aware of.We waited for injured players to return to the fold and they ain't produced as expected and have thus far disappointed.Still time for the to get there good form back as wallets will go in pockets and their expected upward move will not happen. It is hard not to criticize,so perhaps we should hold our own counsel until the Tuesday of a Saturday match and a Friday of a Tuesday match. And to hell with Burgundy.

Was at Lincoln and there was a moment where the ball bounced on the edge of the box, he stepped forwards to go to it but changed his mind.
It was so obviously his ball, nearly lost my mind seeing that...
This happens all to often, he can make saves but his positioning/reactions are awful in a few moments each match

That seemed a most unusual situation last night with the ball coming down the way it did, probably the job of the defence to help the keeper out with that.Maybe I got it wrong and the keeper was at fault.
