Please tell me how we can get better players if we don't have the money, and who knew the signings were poor when signed.Few gems come our way on the cheap or as a loan.I strongly believe all concerned with the club have worked their socks off to bring in as good a player as possible, sometimes they must take a lucky dip and hope it wins.Good footballers at our level are difficult to come by,better footballers even more so, and so it goes on up until you have players who go elsewhere at the first chance of doing so. Would someone please tell me how we can bring better players to the club because if it is obvious to you it must be obvious who do that job.The fans would be delighted and the board. If we have it the buffers after a good run, lets take stock and work better with what we have.I cannot say any of our players are really bad a couple middling but that is the way it is.

Is anyone prepared to say what players are not good enough to play for Leyton Orient in 24/25 season in League 1 who are first team players. If named we can then make judgement on where our problems are and pass it on to the manager and coaching staff.

Listening to Marshall Taylor, I sense that whilst the club won't want to be relegated, I don't think they will do much about it in January to bolster the squad to give us a standing chance of pulling away. Interesting you should have formed that impression vinny. Whilst I must admit the interview didn’t exactly leave me cheering from the rafters I did get the sense that if push comes to shove in respect of a relegation battle in the new year the Board will try and fortify the squad. You’ve got me worried now!

One way we could get better players is to sack the present scouts and employ some new ones who know what they're doing

First issue for Ling to sort out to will be replacing the six loan players we currently have with us. Of the current loanees I would definitely like Currie to stay if possible and I would imagine Richie would want to sign Kelman on a permanent deal if he can. I don’t envisage any of the others would be with us next season. There are numerous out of contract players like Agyei, Archibald, Ball, Beckles, Galbraith, Graham, Simpson & Sweeney and based upon our recent difficulties in shifting players who are under contract that’s where any changes would most likely be made. Odds on that Moncur, Pigott & Pratley will be released I should think.

A few loans are good but I know from Football Manager if you have half a squad of loans and they all go back at the end of the season you are fooked

The only problem with that scenario is that they may be good lower down the leagues but not up to it the higher the club get. There is a saying that people get promoted until they find their level of incompetence. It means you reach a level but are not good enough to go higher. Applies to players who get so far but no higher, they reach their high point and go no further.. The same can apply to the scouting set up. Past achievement is no guarantee

Taking Red's point here... From what we've seen so far, who can keep is in EFL1... and who can't?
