Cheers Lee! I got the impression that the performance - especially first half - was not too bad , if a bit toothless. As I know you see practically evey away game, what’s your take on on our current predicament? It’s a bit galling to hear RW in his interview to say that the game plan was spot on , we should have scored more/ won and that there’s been little wrong in 9 of our 10 opening games. Do you buy it or is it BS?

It’s a bit galling to hear RW in his interview to say that the game plan was spot on , we should have scored more/ won and that there’s been little wrong in 9 of our 10 opening games. Do you buy it or is it BS? In my opinion the blame (If you want to call it that can be shared around): The Board It's well documented that our matchday prices are high. Too high IMO. Couple that with the amount of loans and 'cheap options' we see in the squad it's hard to see how the budget has been increased yet still used up (Unless Wellens had a huge pay hike that takes up a lot of that if it even comes out of the same budget?). It's also well known that they want us in the ground buying food/beer etc and not spending on the high road yet the offering is abysmal and overpriced. Wellens A lot is made of his 'lack of a striker' but it has to be remembered that Kelman was his number one choice. He even went as far as questioning why the signing was criticised with remarks of "He'll be a player - mark my words". I also find his negative tactics annoying. Look at Exeter at home - 1-0 down with a couple of minutes left and all 11 back defending a corner. He only really took the shackles off at Lincoln too once we went two down. I also don't think his antics of micromanaging and throwing his arms around at every pass helps either. The Players With the above said it's not Wellens fault that Kelman misses sitters from six yards out, Hemming let's the simplest of shots in, or the midfield allow someone to run 60 yards unchallenged. So the blame doesn't lie in one place, but a combination of the three exacerbates the problem. I've seen plenty of 'good' teams get relegated because they do precisely what we've done this season - not particularly play badly but switch off at vital moments at both ends of the pitch then narrowly lose.

I think your last sentence encapsulates the problem for me. We are being edged out of games because of momentary lapses that are exploited by teams with a greater cutting edge and once behind we struggle to get back on terms. I hope to go to the Northampton game so may see you there!👍
