For the more mature supporter; Do you think the Colchester penalty is heading nto orbit to meet Ian Moores penalty from another era. Maybe the two footballs sail side by side infinitum in space, in silence. Acknowledging how long a penalty that awful will be remembered rather than one tucked neatly into the corner of the net?

In theory if we beat MK Dons we have 5 points and a slim chance of ending up in the top 2 of four and qualifying. But one of the top 2 will need to lose, they both have 4 points. Had we lost the penalty shoot out we would be on 1 point meaning very little chance. We are bottom of a group containing 2 league 2 teams and an under 21 side. Impressive. |

Just to cheer you all up, Joe Pigott came on as a sub for Wimbledon. In the last 15 minutes, including overtime, he enjoyed multiple chances including a couple of blocked shots, a couple of saved shots, one narrowly wide and the winning goal. And I dare say we are paying some of his wages. Still, we have Perkins. Good business that as Pigott doesn’t fit our style of play.
Oh well. We know best.

Hunt is much quicker than Currie. I liked Hunt and would have kept him on as a squad player as he rarely let us down when called upon. |

Thanks for the comments all, it gave me a feel for the game unfortunately we don’t seem able to stop shots on target from going in. I’ve never known or seen anything like it.

Followed the match live on Essex radio.
It was like listening to paint drying.If that's humanly possible.
One shot on target by them and its a goal.
Why we didn't try Donley or Clare up

Very fussy with the maintenance of my house but the problems are always in odd places.Another job for the damp specialist I suppose and another £1000 or so up the Swanee.Five thousand and sixty five curses.

The point he makes about us no longer getting bookings is interesting. I must admit I had noticed the improvement in our discipline but hadn't linked to our failure to get results.

He is not a L1 player and I really don’t know why we gave him a contract. Between two stools here. First half he played well, accepting L2 opposition. Second half just disappeared. When, and too sodding rarely he plays well, he is a good and importantly an exciting player to watch. But needs to be able to do that all the time he is on the pitch. He don’t. The skills to play in League 1. The attitude and application just not good enough. But sadly that applies to a few right now. |
