The worst was 6-1 away to Huddersfield on a very wet night with a leaking roof and a fanatical Huddersfield fan nearby. We was down 3-0 in about 15 minutes. We did stay to the end however. On the way home in the very wet and dark countryside just outside Huddersfield I got a puncture in my new car.Help arrived very soon by a Huddersfield taxi driver and his wife,Mrs redshank sat in the warm taxi chatting to the lady while the taxi driver and myself, both getting soaked put the spare wheel on.The taxi driver refused any payment and both kept calling Mrs redshank who was in her late twenties, pet.The drive home was so much better after that help and the match score nearly forgotten. i have had a soft spot for Huddersfield and their fans ever since and always look at their results.I remember not that far back when we played Huddersfield played at Brisbane road and a long serving player was playing his last match for them. Many wore his face mask and they got a penalty.he duly scored and the Orient fans also applauded the goal,Huddersfield fans heard the Orient applause and clapped for us in thanks. That's a nice story redshank. I've never been to Huddersfield, I've been close but flooding halted my progress. I only know Huddersfield from the Stanley Bagshaw books: "In Huddersfield famed for its tramlines; up North where its boring and slow."

Sounds like it is the start of a Stanley Holloway monologue. When we was walking around Huddersfield long before the kick off everyone was very kind and helpful. Just read on Google he wrote Ging Gang Goolie which I sang along with other members of the Tuesday 11th Epping Forest wolf club pack at St Nicholas Church Hall Rectory Lane Loughton when I was 8-10 years old.Church parade once a month, loved those days,Akela was like a mum.

Locked away in my memory is us being 3-0 up against Southampton only to lose 6-3. And 3-0 up against Portsmouth only lose 4-3. true or false I don’t know. But the memories of painful times swirl around. Fact or fiction? I’m sure it happened.

In as much as we stayed up by the skin of our teeth! Following August he got the boot... Was that when we beat Cardiff 0-1 and awaited with fear the result until it was shown on News at Ten. I think that’s the game, the ‘Paul Went’ match !

Heaviest on the heart was the 1982-83 season orient leading hull 4-1 with 30mins left and lost 5-4 We let in 5 at home several times in a cluster, and manager Knighton brought in two loan strikers! But Chelsea 3-7 worst Was at that Hull game, it seem crazy but as soon as Hull started scoring we all knew they would win, wasn't the worse but we all knew what the result was gonna be. Away to Fulham we got slaughtered and same season away to Burnley midweek think it was same week

But Chelsea 3-7 worst Remember all them. My dad was going mad against Hull when we were 4-1 up, to change the midfield. Clark waited until it was 4-4. Saw all the 5-1 home defeats, plus Chelsea, Wimbledon and Bromley. I missed a bullet when we lost 6-1 to Fulham, as dad changed his mind at the last moment.

We are all still here,we have endured.I would like to see one of those five minutes or maybe longer videos of Brisbane Road from the day they dug the footing to the present day.I would save my boos for when the stands went down and the flats went up.
