The negative outcome of no points on the first four games due to partly individual mistakes is the caustic cause of the current situation It’s simple if we had a few more points up the league we would be plodding along each week with oscillation of win draw lose and nothing would be spoken as it is now We have no players “excellent “ one week Next week same players “ not good enough “ The players are either good enough or not good enough irrespective of wether we win or lose It’s a team game, mistakes happen in every game. Is Kelman or Agyie missing a simple chance less worse than a keeper making a mistake or the defence allowing a shot in the first place. If the keeper is not good enough, maybe look at those who brought him in. Succeed or fail as a group all in it together. The core group of players who play in my opinion are good enough. The fringe players are a mix of not good enough yet or not fit enough yet. As a first 11 in general we are ok, as a squad we are not good enough. Richie is stripped of realistic options and there is precious little competition for places. He has one hand tied behind his back. As for all the preseason talk about how good league 1 was going to be, I’ve not noticed any great overall improvement in quality bar Birmingham. [br Spot on mate 👍👍

As said above “ the core group of players are good enough”. The question is around whether or not RW and his coaching staff getting the best out of them?

As said above “ the core group of players are good enough”. The question is around whether or not RW and his coaching staff getting the best out of them? Richie has done it before. But nearly 2 years on and changing circumstances making life more difficult it becomes harder. Bit like a marathon. The last quarter is more difficult than the first quarter as energy and enthusiasm drains and sadly of late he seems to have lost a little sparkle. But he is good enough. For his sake he has to, his long term future is on the line. I’m confident we will muddle through. Personally, and I’m no expert, managers can take a bunch of OK people and turn them into a good team . I just don’t see that at the moment. I see performances below what I believe they could be. We just ain’t gelling out there and in my opinion we haven’t from day 1. Just various shades of OK interspersed with the occasional good and bad spells. The core group are fine, Pratley at last getting game time, Ollie getting better, TJ coming back, Keeley looks decent enough, Graham coming back, Ball getting fitter. Galbraith an excellent player. I’ve not seen too much in an average league 1 that should scare us. Up front is a different matter though. Loads of experience in the coaching staff. But hope they can work on players confidence as well as tactics. Big problems there.

.... No movement in the players, no available outlets? Can’t move forward quicker if there nobody there to take the ball. Bulls eye. Have noticed that, and the sudden movement of surprise when the quick ball is given.Little awareness and expectation of the ball being passed.Too many passes to feet with attacking players backs to the opponents goal, very few to the open space to run on to.One of the reasons Kelman isn't getting chances.Poor Dan Agyei having the same problem. We look a good side when playing with pace.

Despite feeling Kelman has yet to reach league 1 standard i do have some sympathy, as a team we don’t give him too many chances to look good. Same for Dan Agyei.

Thinking to Wycombe, we only started to play once that 3rd goal went in and thought, well we're out of ideas, lets just give it to Graham on the right let him hold it up, take someone on and try and get a cross in. I honestly am in need of seeing him and Theo on opposite flanks, that's another dimension to attack which we have just not had this season. It would also allow us to play a lone Agyei/Kelman through the middle where I'm sure they'd do better

Graham soon and Theo by December. But little sign of DJ.

Sweeny is quite a versatile player, perhaps he should get more of a chance. We as fans are desperate aren't we.Relegation will be a heart breaker with my years running out.

He won’t replace Currie, the quality difference is too big, nor TJ if the played him on the other side. Maybe out wide but O’Neil just starting to improve. He did well in his little cameo last week and made the bench Saturday. Worth game time for sure, but not a starter, yet. As for a chance, haven’t looked but he has played a bit this season.

Id like to see sweeney in the role of back of a diamond I feel he could lay back in central midfield and move right or left to cover space left by a overlapping full back

Currie has been an excellent signing been very impressed with him both defending and attacking. The last third of the pitch is where we let ourselves down badly. We Ruel in that part of our play.
