Firstly apologies if this in the wrong place.
A couple of us (Reading fans) are using the international break on 6th September as a chance to tick off another ground from the 92 - so we're heading to Orient v Preston. So, I'm after some advice on which is the best stand to sit in with regards to atmosphere and banter as there's nothing worse than sitting in silence (as we generally have to do for 90 minutes at the library that is the Madejski Stadium!).
Cheers!

We're normally a bunch that suffer in silence, but since it was built the Tommy Johnson (South Stand) has the best atmosphere. Especially last season when we had something to shout about.
The Baskin Robins North is the family stand and the West Stand (Main Stand) looks like a battleship and holds no atmosphere.
The newly re-seated East Stand is a classic old stand with the gable at the top and holds a cracking atmosphere when filled, but we give one end of it up to away fans.
If i were you.. i would get to the O's early doors (12:30) pay your pound to get in the supporters club (on the outside off the West Stand) and drink their lovely ales until 2:45, then head to the South Stand. After the game have a pint under the South Stand (decent bar for an undercroft) then when you leave the stadium go to the Leyton Technical boozer on the High Street. If you sty there long enough Russell Slade, Nugent and Dearden may turn up.
Welcome to the forum. You think McAnuff will be good for us?

Just noticed it's the Preston game, so you may need to purchase your ticket in advance (on the day, but get one from the ticket office next to the supporters club bar to avoid any unnecessary waiting around) and be sure to give Jamie Jones some stick. He was our keeper that left to join them in the summer.

Cheers for all the info. We probably will buy in advance as it's a lot easier to rock up with a ticket - though I'm not sure about pre-match drinking as I want to go to see the poppy "artwork" at the ToL first - so it all depends on how early I can get away from the wife & kids!
As for Jobi - I think he'll do really well for you. I reckon he's easily good enough to still do a job at Championship level so was surprised that (with all due respect) he's dropped down a league. I was really disappointed that we let him go as we were always going to have a season with a young team (the average age today was 23!!) so his experience would have been a bonus but we were in the **** financially (before the Thai bloke took over) so we needed to offload some of the high earners.
The only criticism I had of him was his tendency to cut inside rather than backing himself to skin his full back - but even then he did chip in with the odd decent goal so it all evens itself out in the end!

Somewhat annoyed about the postponement but that's life I guess. Thanks for the info - will tuck that away for when I eventually visit BR in the future.
