After just three league games our rampant six-strong strike force seems to be down to about 2½: Moons, Henderson and a half-fit Simpson. Lisbie's shoulder presumably rules him out for "x" games, Batt might as well never have existed (where's Jamie Masters when you need him?), and who was Dagnall?

It's just that I'm in permanent exile, getting no updates and desperate for a news fix to fuel my promotion fantasies. I like this board, it's civilised, but one post every six hours won't satisfy the craving. When's the next podcast FFS?

Have patience all will be well .

LIsbie - Out Dagnall - Almost back Batt - Almost back Simpson - Fit, lacking match fitness Mooney - Fit Henderson - Fit
What's the problem, we've only got one striker totally out of it. The other two are nearing the end of their injury.

Well Batt had a calf injury, which usually takes 3-4 weeks to heal, so I'm hoping only a couple more games out for him. Batt even said it wasn't too serious after the game.
Dagnall, I remember on another forum someone said he was a week or two away, and that was a week ago (more tenuous source I admit). It's marked up as a "foot injury" which doesn't shout months out.

I suspect Dagnall may be on the move sooner rather than later once he is fit.
He has slipped further down the pecking order at the O's with the arrival of Simpson and Henderson been told that he would prefer to go back up North nearer to his family home and play some first team football. So once we have a fully fit strike force I expect him to end up on loan at a Northern League One or Two club.

I for one would be sad to see Dagnall go for me he is a real workhorse hassles defenders not scared to get into a tackle etc
Simpson still has to prove he is a decent player I've seen nothing so far to suggest he's any better than Dagnall

It was so visible that Mooney was a class above the other 3 with Lisbie doing OK but Batt didn't look like a finisher at all but Dagnal not only looked like he couldn't hit a barn door but also seemed not too bothered. We probably wont know until about Christmas time whether or not Simpson has made it.

We know he's not match fit so the jury's still out about Simpson. Age-wise you feel he's at a kind of footballing crossroads where he could develop into a great asset or be a total waste. Russ obviously really rates him as he's given him a 3-year contract. As you say, we should know by Christmas.

I'm a big fan of Dagnall. He caused QPR real problems although again, fitness will be an issue as he plays quite a high tempo game.
