Mooney far too slow, a spent force, one lucky season. McAnuff great prospect but lacking a little confidence, best to come. Henderson looks a good buy, wins lots of headers, needs someone quick upfront to play with. Maybe Simpson when fitter. Dean Cox, talented but too wastefull for my liking. I know everyone will disagree with the critisism. Slade may be a great man manager but tactically useless. Every game is substitute used on 60 minutes then 2 in last ten minutes. He has a big squad now but he does not know what to do with it. No excitement there anymore, boring mid table season I think.Still better start than 2011,2012

Woeful, lacklustre performance not a single shot on target the whole game.

Fortunate that Walsall were very poor going forward. Not impressed with any of our new signings. I don't accept the "not fit yet" excuse anymore, and that excuse cannot be used for the keeper! Agree Slade has a talent to motivate but lacks tactical skills. Have we ever worked/trained for set pieces except for the long throw which always puts us on the back foot for an opposition break?
I do disagree with 'lesbest' with the criticism of Cox he was easily man of the match but most of the time had no support except for Omozusi. Boring mid season - Yes, Same old Orient, just treasure the memories of last year. We miss Moses Odubajo more than I thought we would and have nobody up front now who can hold a ball and even think about going past a player.
Rant over feel better now.

It was dire against a side that had won 2 of its last 21. Few positives, the back 4 as I said from day 1 should not have been tampered with , and Clarke looks as assured as ever now Cuthbert and omozusi are playing alongside him. Bauldry was man of the match and made several great tackles. Mccanuff and Henderson will be good and simpson will be if he is a shadow of his former self, but he looks overweight. That's about it, passing was wayward , and what the hell was going on with our 6ft 6 goalkeeper. Its not that he was under constant pressure. He did a weak 2 fisted punch straight to their player when at head height it was easier to catch, then he failed to control the ball at his feet and presented the forward with an open goal which he squandered by trying to back heel it , but worse he failed to go down and spread himself to smother an attack which didn't look to brave to me. All in all he looked like he had been loaned from Bournemouth.

Yep that punch out really annoyed me in the second half could of caught it and despatched it out quickly and the comedy moment where the Wallsall player thankfully back heeled it wide is it time for Woods to have a go I noticed also that Mooney didn't acknowledge the crowd when he was subbed dummy out the pram moment maybe?

Today was very poor. Mooney cannot play off of Henderson he never gets near to a flick on. I would like to see Dagnall get a chance to play up front with Henderson now he is fit hopefully he will. Apart from Cox's shot that the keeper made a good save from did we create a chance ? Anyway winning all the time is boring roll on Wednesday i am looking forward to going to Villa Park.

We must beat teams like Walsall, who looked very poor I think we area very good side who just need to play as a team ,last season we used the 2 wingers we need a right winger in the Moses mould ,Pritchard could fill this roll .Vincelot is playing far too forward ,I am not too sure about legzdins ,he is a good shot stopper but his kicking and clearances need to improve .Cuthbert does not seem fit a few more games and he will be ok I am sure. What we need is a good win say 5 0 to boost the confidence,i am sure it will come good in the end .

Our expectations are a bit of a problem in the we all think we should be able to steamroller teams like Walsall, I don't think that was ever going to happen, we'll have to grind it out in the same way that Brentford and Wolves did. It remains to be seen if this "group" has what it takes to do that.

I can answer that Milano. Has the team got what it takes to grind out promotion? - No.
I don't see the new team members doing that and we need a new keeper.

This game was like a throwback to 2yrs ago BLOODY AWFULL.I don't think our fullbacks got past the halfway line once and Mcanuff kept wandering deep inside leaving a massive great hole and Cuthbert therefore had to pass inside. It got a bit better when our centre mids pushed up a bit but it looked at times like none of them had ever played together before. As for the hoofball to Henderson well that looked amateurish and non league rubbish. Not impressed with any of the new signings on 3 yr contracts.Yer aving a laugh!!!

I agree with Garyos, from what I heard on the player. Henderson and McAnuff was mentioned a lot, and we have just played 4 league games. They will bloom, its a looong season.

GaryOs,you wanted all the new signings to play from day one,so wrong.Did you not notice the big hole that Mcanuff left by drifting inside? Did you actually go.James and Cuthbert were always looking to pass out wide but guess what,no one there.Coxy had a right go at Mcanuff for not passing to him instead of slamming it into the side netting. So you like the hoofball up to Henderson because I didn't,did you see more than one usefull cross,no you didn't. The best thing is that we did was not lose and extends the unbeaten run to 4.

We lacked any real threat. The O s play was predictable and easy for the opposiition to read. Our passing was nowhere near as good as last season. The new keeper looks a bit of worry. Moses is a huge loss. There would appear to be no reason for any team to be particularly afrais of the Os at present.

I'd love to know if Mooney is actually told to play as deep as he does sometimes. On a few occasions he was picking the ball up in front of the back 4.
