There seems to be absolutely no interest from people that use this board in talking about our games this season. I know we have made a slow and uninspiring start but surely somebody wants to comment on todays game. All I can say is that draws are not much better than defeats and so i am not impressed with only one defeat or win in five games. With no game next week we are likely to be around 17th next Saturday, What a confidence booster. As for the cup, great, but we ain't going to win it. Only the league is important.

To be fair Fleetwood are flying but Orient should have seen it out by all accounts.
You can look at like only lost one game and got some draws at hard places or you can say only 1 win in 5 which is terrible.

Unfortunately not many people post on this board (as yet) and few if any seem to go to away games. So those of us who for various reasons can't get to any games at all have little real idea of how we are performing. Orient Player is an option but not up to much in my view. The podcasts are very handy though.
It's been a slow start all right, we're clearly not firing on all cylinders. I'd be surprised if, as rumoured, Slade doesn't strengthen, the midfield supposedly being the objective. If we've got the wherewithal I imagine we'll go for it. Slade won't get many plaudits for a midtable finish when the target is promotion.
Regarding yesterday's game, as far as I can glean from the various reports it was more or less a fair result even though we were leading till about 10 minutes from the end.

I thought we were away again on Tuesday to Peterborough in JPT? I for one would be happy to put out a 2nd team and don't mind if we get out of this competition.

Must admit I have lost a little interest in The team at the moment. There is not the buzz around both on the pitch and off, maybe because our new leader has not given the fans any feed back as to what his intentions are for the club. A sporting director who does nothing sporting and lacking in directing. A Manager who has brought in it seems unfit players who have seen their best days. To be honest I have not got over Wembley, something died after that awful game.

It's hard to see the point of the JPT as it seems to me that you have to win the bloody thing to get anything out of it. But I can only assume this is an overly simplistic view and that there is some appreciable financial benefit from taking part. All I see is a competition which gives increased risk of player injury and suspensions as well as general wear and tear. Hardly anyone turns up to watch and youngsters (or at least our youngsters) aren't generally given the chance to gain experience.

What's all this fuzz about? We have played only a few matches and we cant really start speculating yet. We need to see their performance over time before criticize them. After all, we did beat AV and we are undefeated on our last 5 matches. Unfortunately we have "only" collected 6 points. 0-0,0-0 and 1-1, when things start to bounce our way, those 3 points turns into 9. Lets look forward now, and focus on Posh. Up the O's!

As for the new Directors, well I would like Matt Porter back who spoke to us on a regular basis. Sporting Director thanks but no thanks. Bye.

I still think he was brought in as the next manager in waiting. Fingers crossed he isn't needed.
