The transfer market was well underway before the takeover was completed. The consequences for this being that the best players had already been acquired before Orient entered the race.Because of this Slades choices were much more limited and with the new season fast approaching panic buying set in. We did not get the cream, just a little milk left at the bottom of the bottle.

We did not get the cream, just a little milk left at the bottom of the bottle. i disagree there were some great players in the market when the takeover happened at the moment Carl baker and jack collinson are still looking for clubs .russeell I thought has made some great signings in the transfer market but at the moment can't get them to play .so slade pays with his job and we move on . |
