What should he apologise for? He is the owner at the end of the day and can do what he wants. It is sad to treat Slade like that but I am sure Russ is man enough to take it and the best way to answer his critics is to get results which he did.
Also Bechetti may be laughing all the way to bank if Cardiff give him a nice pay off for Slade's services!

Yes, KB...Perhaps "apologise" isn't quite the word; product of adrenaline surge after one goal win, I expect. My point is that our ambitious new owner, whose vast wealth bears testimony to his business acuity and intelligence, should bring decisiveness and positivity to the club. Instead, he has failed to support his own management team, has looked impassionately upon RS's public humiliation and has dithered over bringing in the new guard. I say if you're going to replace people, do it and do it quick. If, instead, you've a notion to keep the manager after all, you'd better support and encourage him, restore his confidence and put a sticking plaster over the abrasions of the past few weeks.

RS doesn't drop people as much as "rest them" or "not risk" them due to a slight fitness issue. He said that Mooney has "a knock" but no mention of Baudry. You pays yer money....

Good points there orientnil but Bechetti hasn't said a word to the media or anyone since he took over, it has all been Slade who has aired this public for whatever reason.

............ it has all been Slade who has aired this public for whatever reason. "Lancing the boil" springs to mind - if all the crap that is being surmised has been going on in the background I can quite understand him saying the little he did. Also if you look at the media coverage since then, and compare it to Slade being sacked in a silent puff of smoke then yes....maybe a shrewed move to take back a little control of the situation. That said, what little he did say was still polite, restrained and calm. No thrashing around, nothing that precludes further conversation, no doors closed by him. The more I stand back and watch, the more I think that Slade is a shrewd man.
