Sorry I know etiquette dictates that my first post should be an intro. but thought the BBC Wales post would be of interest.
As for intro. I am from Walthamstow, although now live in Cardiff. I have been an O's fan since the 60's, yes I am that old. I have at various times been a season ticket holder, but not currently. I have moved around a bit but somehow Walthamstow always pulls me back. Moved to Cardiff from Walthamstow 4 years ago.
I ran the junior page in the programme for a while back in the 90's. My family have also been involved with the club in the past, my wife was on the supporters club committee and served behind the bar and my daughter used to play for the O's Ladies team again in the 90's.
As I said my first match was in the 60's, a 3-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion I think it was 1968 but I'm sure there are stato's out there who will put me right if i'm wrong.
One of my most cherished matches was again against B & H, when my daughter was mascot for Shilts 1,000th match. Not because of the event but the fact that Hendo was her favorite player and she didn't know who Shilt's was, so when the photographers wanted her to have her picture taken with the main man all she wanted was a picture with Ian, she got her way in the end!

Welcome exiled I'm also exiled in East Sussex but sometimes I could actually get to Cardiff via public transport quicker than I could get to Brisbane Road Nice story about Shilts and Hendon got me thinking that maybe a thread on what ex Os are up to after they left the game should be put on the board
