This is excellent. A huge risk sitting on Slade's shoulders assuming he's had scant information on which to base his decision. However, it's just great to have a proper management team where risk is not a dirty word. This may end in tears but I think it's bloody marvellous that our manager feels confident enough to go for it and his chairman has the courage to back him up. We are a proper football club in so many ways these days.... except for the official forum which refuses to work yet again.

It sounds like he can play so a swap with Griffith probably means we'll keep the ball a lot more. Who knows? I just love the idea of the risk taking - maybe that says more about me than anything else. |

I don't see why people are suggesting he is demanding a high wage. He LOOKS good but not proven. Good gamble with a one year deal with I would guess average wage.
Well done Russ for trying him a go but I think Russ is already making the point by saying he needs improving in certain areas.

Fair point that he isn't proven. He ain't scored much according to wikipedia.
Could well be cheap as he's come from the Greek 2nd division.

Rumour has it Vincelot recommended him to the club. Worth the gamble on a one year contract, if he's awful we can let him go.. though on the other hand, if he's decent we will struggle to keep hold of him.
