Matt Porter @mattporter_LOFC 8m
@skysportsnews don't worry about having a reporter at our place today! We're en route to Rotherham with a new signing and no-one's leaving!
Is this a new goalkeeper or does he mean Dagnall?

Confirmed on twitter as Ben ALnwick from Charlton on permanent deal! Do you think this is a good deal kbola? I think it will be good to have a very competent keeper with us now and might take some of the pressure of Jones, who I think will always struggle to complete a whole season. This even feels a bit like the making of Ryan Allsop as a first team keeper.

I think Alnwick did well at Orient when he played at Brisbane Road and I have heard he did well for Charlton too when he played so a good signing in my opinion. Breaking: Barley signs permanent dealedit: oops Bartley not Barley

I like Charlton. In the past I feel that they have been the most friendly London club towards us. If I ever had to support another team it would be between Charlton or Southend.

Now Loza stays longer, when will it end?
I miss the annual battles with Southend. Love 'em or hate 'em, games with them were always extra spicy.

Couldn't support them though. I tweeted this last night, before we'd signed Alnwick. linkSimilar thing going on at the Valley as to what happened with Watford last season. Absolute criminal how it's allowed to happen.

Apparently Chris Powell was told to play their new keeper in the last Charlton match. Powell picked Alnwick.
Powell to go next.

Chris Powell on Ben Alnwick transfer: “Ben has been excellent for us. He and his advisors wanted to have discussions about a new contract. That wasn’t guaranteed for him. I put on record that I wanted to keep him here but of course that would be all three keepers being out of contract at the end of the season. I think he wanted assurances and they just weren’t guaranteed. His advisor said there was interest and I think Orient, him and his advisor looked at the situation here. Obviously they (Orient) are going very well and have got a very good chance of being in the Championship and they looked at the possibility of him going there and maybe extending his deal. I don’t know what he got in the end personally but they decided to do it. Of course I wasn’t entirely happy with it. I could understand, a bit like what Yann and Dale have done, that with six months to go they are wondering what are their futures? What is our future? But of course they are looking at it from a personal point of view. Sadly Ben moved on and I suppose from the outside looking in the fans have got every right to think that’s a little bit confusing but it is just sadly we haven’t been able to give a guarantee."
