Is this a temporary set back on the road to promotion? Or are Orient's hopes dashed? Reports are reaching me that the new goalie Alnwick was poor and at fault for the goal. Perhaps losing Jakupovic has fatally dented Orient this season? We can only hope not, up the O's! Bring on the next match!

Not making excuses as both teams had to play in it, but conditions weren't ideal and I thought all of pur defence and midfield struggled.
With such swirling winds its hard to judge who should be attacking or challenging the ball.
Baudry, Clarke, James and Vincelot were exceptionally poor, which goes to show how much the conditions played their part.
For them I also thought their centre backs and central midfield pairing were poor.
Not a game for the purists at all. Rotherham had a few chances and took two. We took one. They win.
Can't blame Alnwick. This is how bad the wind was.. He kicked a ball from the edge of his 18 yard box, it went halfway up the pitch, looped back over him and out for a corner. That's how strong the wind was.
Probably why James couldn't find his range with passes and any footballers on the pitch were made to look average.

This post is not acceptable Kbola hee heeyou sound like one of the miseries on the board that shouldn't be mentioned We have lost a game so what it happens from time to time 2 losses away from home so far this season that's not bad Keep the faith otherwise I will pour some Bovril on your wellies next home game

1. I don't wear wellies. 2. I thought my post was only posing a question and ended on a positive note so I don't think it was too negative, sorry if it seemed that way but you have to admit the goalkeeper situation with Orient in the last couple of seasons has been farcical at times. Let's hope Alnwick goes on to be a stalwort in the Orient goal but knowing Orient's luck with keepers he will probably do his hamstring by next week.

I'm F**ked off enough already with the absolute muppets on the main board, thought i would come over here for sensible debate

From my viewpoint this is the main board. That other place is just a WUM paradise.
Go on then o, what is your sensible point?
Surely you concede that losing Jakupovic when he kept 3 out of 4 clean sheets was a blow?

Wasn't having a Go, Kbola, & yes losing Jakupovic is a massive blow, But it only the 4th defeat of the season & people on the Main Board (Wum's paradise)are making out it's the end of the world !!
In my opinion with No lisbie & not a fully fit Mooney Slade had no choice but to play Simpson, as we all know he will go 4-4-2, if he would have tried to go 4-5-1 with extra midfielder such as ness or Bartley then he would have been slaughtered for it anyways

No I agree Orient's record this season has been amazing. Look at the away wins at Gillingham and Shrewsbury where Brentford were held today and you can see real spirit in the team and to be fair Simpson played pretty well against Carlisle. I just think everyone's expectations have been raised so high this season that any set back is met with an OTT response. But you are right, there is no excuse for the usual suspects on the other board calling the manager 'Slime' etc. I honestly wonder if they actually want Orient to lose so they can go onnline and pee and moan.

Exactly, we should all be behind the team, not slagging certain players off

I wouldn't be brave enough to voice this over on the dark side but my observation on the season so far is....the team seem pretty tight when their lineup doesn't change and circulates around 14 players. What really seems to knock them is changes in personnel. Yes there have been some exceptions (Coulthist's goal for example) but other than that the matches we have struggled in, particularly in the 1st half, have been when new people have been played. Now I know it's got to happen.....anybody agree?

I like your point assissi but what about Dagnall's double on his debut?

Yes....there have been results, I just think things seem more in synch in general run of play in certain combinations and "shaken up" very easily when new faces there.

Give the new boys time to gel
Alnwick has just arrived Loza could be a possibl threat if he gets some game time I still believe there is something Bartley and Simpson(yes Simpson) have to offer
Ness has impressed me so far
I think we may of seen the last of Shaq attack
Dagnall needs to find the right wave length with at least 1 of our Strikers
Mooney and Lisbie are not looking sharp just yet hopefully that will come again when the pitches get less boggier
Lasimant I think could do a job if selected
It was a shame jakupovic had to return to Hull but hey that's life
I personally think we are still in with a shout and that's just what I'll be doing next Saturday
Shouting the mighty O's on to another 3 points
Let's make the Team feel like there the best thing since sliced bread plenty of home games coming up to show your true support

History tell's us that every side goes through at least 2 or 3 bad spells in a season and today's game could be just a hick up or a bad spell. But you can be 95% certain the same thing will happen to all our rivals. We,the fans, are just not used to this sort of pressure. What really annoys me is the blinkers on some fan,s.There were two teams out there today and make no mistake Rotherham can be a good side on their day,as some of their results testify.Don't take it away from them,it was their day!

Consistency is one key feature of our success this season. But we do need to bleed others in. Simpson is being made a scapegoat, the whole team today were poor. Loza, Dagnall and Coulthirst have all made good impacts, so did Ness.

RS has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he'll understand what went wrong and take steps to improve it. It is disappointing that Nathan allowed his man to cut in front of him for a free header for the first goal, just as irritating was the time Revell had to set himself to score the winner. You can't win them all and Rotherham seemed to play as if their lives depended on it. I'm disappointed but not downcast, we lost to good team who worked very hard in their own back yard.
