only rumours, on one thread on here it was said he has left the club,on charltons forum it was said by someone who says he knows him that a close member of his family was facing a life threatning illness,dont know what to make of it all,its just so strange the club haven't made some sort of statement,seem to be keeping things under wraps .

Obviously I wish Alnwick all the best, wouldn't be disappointed if jakovic came back and we had him for rest of season on loan, with yesterday's new guy on the bench for a month, as cover

I did text jonny davies on his blog page,asking if he had heard of the rumours that he had left the club ,normally I would get some kind of answer ,but no reply .

Surely if it were something to do with someone ill or had died then the club would have mentioned it and obviously paid their respects. The way the statement is so short and also mentions that the club will make no further comment would suggest something behind the scenes has happened.

would be good to get jakupovic back tried and tested ,bet our defenders love having him there ,premiership quality keeps our defenders on there toes too

If he'd failed a drugs test the club would have no reason to not announce it.

A club can't just terminate a player's contract and keep it a secret forever.

On our website it said he couldn't train or play for a medical reason NOT personal reason. If a close family member was ill or had passed away then it would have been personal reason. Let's hope the lad is ok it could be something that requires further tests and diagnosis hence the wall of silence.
The theory of a blood test not coming up quite right because of drug taking by Alnwick will always be rumoured until the truth comes out let's hope this is not the case but nothing surprises me so perhaps there is some truth here.
Whatever I wish him well and hope to see him back playing soon.
