According to Ross Ling is already in talks with Ruel and Marvin's agents to extend their contracts and also with George and Cisse's agents about a permanent deal for next season. Ling in talks. Somehow that doesn’t fill me with confidence. Let’s hope he don’t start this deadline hardball stuff. It would be great if we get all of them for next season. Massive blow if Ruel and Marv decide their future is elsewhere and Cisse feels we ain’t gonna develop his career. Lets get it done ASAP. We have to be is a strong position. What decent player who wants to get on with their career would look forward to next season with having Ross as their manager, that a big downer for a start !

Come next season Ross will have had a years experience, so the rookie tag can be dropped. If he can conjure up a decent run in then he will be sold as a manager who has weathered a difficult time and proved his credentials to move the club forward. I doubt we will be competing for the better L2 players so likely going after those more desperate for a club. I doubt we will have too much trouble bringing in players. Nor do I expect that many. Right now the priority has to be keeping Marv, Ruel and Cisse. Big gaps if they go and we are unlikely to be able to attract equivalent quality. Happe too may be off. Will be a major step forward keeping them. I think we can expect modest on field improvement and a less worrying season. But no more.

Vigouroux signed because Ross was manager and as far as Cisse is concerned if he's getting regular first team football and enjoying it I see no reason why he wouldn't sign. Ling has a pretty decent record signing players so I don't see why that should change.

As an Orient fan, I obviously hope that Ross can learn quickly and make progress, as it looks as though we are stuck with him for the foreseeable .... safe to say, I won't be holding my breath. It's all about opinions, but too much has been made of the recent unbeaten home run, only against one club in the top half of the table, the other 5 against teams, pretty much around us, has yielded three draws and two scrambled wins. This doesn't make Ross a tactical genius, well not in my eyes, anyway, the football in the main, has still be dire!

Yes I remember the same narrative when he was in talks with Adams and gave him a time deadline to sign !! That worked out well didnt it !
