Keep, but don't see him staying with us.
If by sum miracle he does, then hats off to Ling and Ross.

Would love to keep him .....unfortunately I can't see it happening . Absolutely this. Massive upgrade on what we had or rather didn't have in that midfield area. Not only very good in that area, but the bonus is, a big presence in the opposition box at set pieces, as was shown on Saturday, against Oldham. But feel it is a pipe dream and he will be looking for something higher up, than we can currently offer, but it's football and you can never say never. Let us hope we can string some results(wins) together in these last eleven games, to perhaps convince him, we are a club moving in the right direction.

On the basis of what I've seen of him, which is one game, I'd keep. However, it's not by chance he's on loan from a league 1 side to little Leyton Orient, so let's not get carried away.

All comes down to why he went out of favour at Gillingham very very quickly. If they have no interest in retaining him then he may well be happy to move to us. As said though, I wouldn't get our hopes up.

Regular games may be his motivation and that is certain to happen with us. Geography may help too. Wages is a consideration. And other offers.
The real issue is whether he believes we are a team going places or whether he sees us as a struggling side. I doubt he will fancy too much more of what he has experienced with us so far. Hardly the sort of football to whet the appetite. A strong run in and he may fancy us. The average s***efest we see is hardly going to attract decent players, him or others. Especially if we lose the likes of Ekpiteta, Sortiriou and Happe.
We will become the last resort for players without a club or those wanting to get back into the EFL. We may have a list of 10 players for every position but I’m willing to bet the first 9 ain’t interested in us.
So who knows, a move to us may suit him personally, stranger things happen. Hope Ling is fully rested after his two weeks off and working hard to get the deal done.

Keep obviously. But if Ebbsfleet were to come in for him and he sees them as the more ambitious club....

Not a case of do we want him to sign up, just a case of will he? I got slated for saying this earlier but, for me, he is the best midfielder l've seen at LO, including Allen, Lea and Lucas. However he doesn't have a good record and now gets regular games, l hope that's enough to get him to stay but he must be disappointed to be in a team where so few have command of the ball to the level he has. Fingers crossed but l think he'll go up a league or two. Would very much like him to stay and it would be a big statement of intent if the club could swing it. Good player no doubt but as for him being better than Allen, Lea etc etc - not imho.

Let’s hope Ling doesn’t feck this one up again. He's only on loan, not even our player so what the f***k could ML do about it if he doesn't want to play for us !

What ML can do is make joining us an attractive proposition and offer a flexible contract that allows him to move easily should an opportunity arise. Nothing guaranteed but Ling has the opportunity to do quite a lot. Not being our player is irrelevant. Most players who join are not ours to start with. lets face it, he convinced Ross that being Head Coach was a good move despite Ross being quite clear he didn’t want it.

Some people say that the spine of a team is key. He's the long bit in the middle. So far so good, if that continues then definitely what we want for next season.

The art of persuasion is vital at Director level. Though applied ever more strongly when saving your arse.
