I used to bowl apples at the apple tree at the end of the garden thinking I was Shane Warne. RIP both Bowled Shane \.//The best bowler ever,always dreaded it when he came on to bowl.The cricket world is not the same. Also mourning the great Sonny Ramadin.A calypso was written about him and Alfred Louis Valentine who died in 2004. Cricket lovely cricket,at Lord's where I saw it...... I would agree red I’ve never seen a spin bowler like him and doubt there will ever be one the one truly unplayable bowler when on form that has ever lived |

Warne was simply a genius in terms of talent and sports psychology. He made the cross-over from sports to entertainment.
There won’t be another of his ilk.
A sad day for those who love sport.

Taylor Hawkins passed away aged 50 - drummer of the foo fighters.
I’m going to see them this year and was really looking forwards to watching him drum, to be in such a big band with one of the greatest drummers in front of you and be the drummer in that band means he must have been special. Watching someone live is different to listening to a track. Sad day indeed.

Chariots of Fire with Vangelis providing the music is in my opinion one of the best opening film titles.I have on you tube chariots of fire being played on a sony synthesizer.

Real name Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou.Such a great name.Read his obituary in the DT today.He is pictured as a young man with two others,one was a slimmer looking Demis Roussos
All three magnificently hairy.
