Today would've been my Uncle Bert's birthday. He'd have been 113. A working class bloke from Walthamstow who died before he retired. He had a series of small black & white dogs, all were called Flossie. As each one died, he couldn't handle the loss so his wife found a near identical replacement and he carried on as if nothing had happened. He had a hard life and was a real tough guy .... except when it concerned Flossie.

Nice enough guy and may he rest in peace , the wife is p issed off though , BBC and BBC 2 have had exactly the same programmes on about him since the news broke and she missed EastEnders and the Masterchef final š¤š¤

The last bit wasn't seen as an act of disrespect.I was with a friend once who was driving...He was in his 70s and drove up a traffic island (it was in the dark)....When he asked me what was that I thought he was taking the p155...It's only a little while later when I thought about it, I realised his night vision wasn't all that good.Should have guessed the way I saw him squinting at the windscreen. |
