Irrespective of the referee, players are adults and responsible for their own actions. Blaming others is a cop out. £1k. They got away lightly

Probably cost more than a grand in people's time and effort.

Probably cost more than a grand in people's time and effort. I wonder how many meetings were undertaken. Or are the powers to be either zoom or teams meeting these days. If not then how far did the deciders have to travel? Did they make a day of it. If so hope they got their expenses correct with receipts or HMRC will be after them.

Probably cost more than a grand in people's time and effort. Same for many prosecutions. Don’t mean they shouldn’t happen.

The important point is not the money, it’s the fine being applied. £1k even if standard, is pretty modest. Should be a damn site more as a standard. Hardly sets a good example to kids. They will think that sort of behaviour is ok because their Heroes do it.
