I’m not getting this 343 formation, personally I don’t like it and it’s leaving gaps down the channels. We are not winning games by using it. I know James was missing and Clay was playing but play them as fullbacks not midfielders and if you have wingers play them as wingers. Square pegs in round holes.🙈

I thought it worked quite well today.
Clay could easily deputise there but without the delivery.
Barrow were poor and we looked out of form.
Still only two defeats in ten games.

Still think we're missing a trick not using Wood as.much as we should. I'm sure his assists were quite high for Bradford last season but we're just not seeing much down the left so far.
It might be Ogie being youthful and not having the confidence in feeding it to Wood, when he can play a safer hit and hope to Smith's head.
Still plenty to work on.

Early days, still in touch with top 3. Should win next week, and if Os beat the vegans, they will be well placed.

It is all very tight. Consistency will be key. And not losing definitely is a positive.
Only Exeter have lost less. Only once. To us.
Then I think it is us, Forest Green, Harrogate and Swindon who had lost 2.

Real shame today as I thought we could, not should, but could have got more. Barrow look poor.

What a shocker. A point is a point But two late yellows. Poor discipline from the team yet again. KJ, get a grip on the gobbling off.

I echo the views of Matt above. I feel we've played well in parts but not really for a full game.
To be where we are after 11 games and only 2 defeats is a good achievement.

I remember showing off my new, well 2nd hand Ford Anglia, just after I passed my test to my workmates in front of the shop I used to work, I left the hand brake on and stalled it.

Vigouroux did OK today but I'm wondering if he should come for crosses a little more? Wood had a tough time against their wide guy and didn't get forward much, perhaps that's his instructions unless we're losing. Ogie is still a bit raw but an established first teamer now. Beckles was his usual reliable self, his fumble just before the goal was unfortunate but there was ample time to clear before they scored. Mitchell is class. Clay stuck to his task but Cooper knows he is slow and not good in the air so attacked him. A make-shift replacement for James at best. Pratley was OK but didn't achieve much. Kyprianou same as Pratley. Archibald grew into it as the game progressed and got some good chances, our most dangerous forward. Smith had a couple of half chances but didn't cause Barrow the kind of problems he's given other teams. Drinan looked a bit lost and failed to contribute, has probably lost his place to Sotiriou who came on and gave Barrow a much more difficult time.
Assuming James is back for the next game, I think Drinan will lose his place to Sotiriou and maybe Kyprianou will be pushed out by Clay. I see no early return for Happe, nor for Kemp. If Smyth ever shows up, Drinan will fall down the order and Sotiriou will have to battle again to stay in the starting eleven.
My biggest frustration so far is with Kemp. l believe there is a star player in there but somehow things are not falling for him. I can't see why he was a revelation at the end of last season but now seems unable to recreate that form.

I don’t get that Barrow were poor. They lacked creativity, and I’m guessing they missed their star midfielder. But they were workmanlike and very organised. Ten men behind the ball once they were 1-0. Not easy to break down, even at international level let alone with L2 players.
Teams are working us out. Mansfield, Port Vale and Barrow put 2 men on Smith, stopping him from jumping. Smith then starts to give away niggly fouls out of frustration. Shades of DJ last season. Their centre half was the best player Smith has played against this season imho, and he got very little out of him.
My man of the match was the ref. He had an excellent game, and tried to let the game flow. For the first 20mins, every other time Barrow were in our box a player went down. They stopped doing it when they realised it wasn’t getting them anywhere.
Final thought - when KJ was invited by Dave to criticise the ill-discipline at the end, he didn’t. Instead he said he liked aggression in his players. Not as “nice” as Ross is he?

I can't see why he was a revelation at the end of last season but now seems unable to recreate that form. A pretty fair assessment. Service into Smith on Saturday was not good and that did not help him. Drinan likewise and I think he’ll be in and around the starting XI for a while yet. Can’t fault Vigoroux with the goal but personally I’m starting to a few doubts about him. I’ve seen two or three keepers this season alone who I would willingly take over him ( inc the Barrow goalkeeper yesterday) . Pratley is a strange one as well. He is - as you say- OK, but he came to the club with a lot of ballyhoo but has not yet shown he can exert the sort of influence that I had hoped. Bearing in mind however that KJ has not yet had a full squad of players available to him and that Smyth, Thompson and Reilly should all be in the frame by the end of October I’m content with the start the club has made and the general direction of travel.

Hi Fisch,on the Kemp question maybe the style that Jacket is playing (more direct) doesn’t suit him, Kemp can pick a pass but bypassing midfield it won’t help him, however I think he could play in a wide position maybe but that all depends on Jackets pecking order?🙈
