More footage from “ The Heavy Roller” this time showing the O’s in action against Cardiff in 1957. Great to get a glimpse of some of the players that I was too young to see like Tommy Johnston and Phil Woosnam. Just click on the “ watch on YouTube “ line.

redintheface , thanks for uploading that video and i will watch it tomorrow. I just had a quick look and the quality is a lot better than the one i uploaded of Leyton Orient v Liverpool. I dont know how ''The Heavy Roller'' keeps getting these old videos ? I reckon that chances are that he could well be an Os fan judging by the amount of old Orient football matches he has uploaded !

I just couldn't resist watching it ! Big problem is that both teams had much the same kit on, so hard to make out which side was which being it was in black and white film, great fun though. Nice to see the old players and Tommy Johnston was a real handful, a proper goal scorer. A few glimpses also of the young centre half ''Sidney Harold Richard Bishop''

Sounds to me like Alan Weekes commentating on the Cardiff game and Kenneth Wolstenholme is on the Liverpool game so they would be BBC productions but on what programme they appeared I have no idea.🤷♂️
