I spose the ground will always be called "The Matchroom Stadium" all the time Bazza owns it, so if there was a new stadium name sponsor the naming rights money would go to Matchroom Sports and not LOFC.
Or am I way off the mark?

No law as to what its called you can call it Brisbane Road for as long as you like even if the 'official' Title became the Chocolate Donut Hole Stadium with Sprinkles on top!

It has always been Brisbane Road to me. Don't think I have ever referred to it as The Matchroom.

Yeah, I get that, what I am saying is if for example a company, any company wanted to buy/sponsor the naming rights to the stadium, who gets the dosh? would it be Bazza/Matchroom Sports or LOFC? I would guess it would be the Stadium owner with the possibility LOFC get a %

Lot's of clubs have 'sold' the rights to the names of their stadiums, of course. They make money by doing so but, IMO it's all a bit too 'tacky'. Revenue is one thing but club history is quite another. Does any player want to tell his grandchildren that he once played at the Sports Direct Arena? I doubt it. St. Jame's Park, Newcastle sounds far more impressive, surely? It'd be interesting to know how many club fans ever refer to their grounds by their 'corporate' names. I agree with those here who have pointed out that we can still call the ground whatever we choose. It is, was and always will be Brisbane Road to many of us. We have a choice but, the media don't. They are bound to refer to the place by the name of it's sponsor - that's what the deal is. I didn't sign up for the deal so I'll continue to call the ground what it is: BRISBANE ROAD
