Ex Millwall & Gills boss Neil Harris on his way to the Fens to take over as the new HC at Cambridge Utd apparently. He was at Cambridge City as a youngster so he still has his webbed feet so he will fit right in.

He has good experience though and will probably need it to halt the decline

Dean Smith was hired at Charlotte FC of the MLS today. He has been spotted at my local team’s game supporting his son, Jamie, in the recent past which was very exciting, at least for us. Jamie played in college at NC State and now for our team here. This seems like a good situation and I hope Smith does well. Yes, it’s the MLS, and yes, it’s in the US, but I think he’s done this for a variety of positive reasons for his family.
Maybe, just maybe, Charlotte and its network could be a resource indirectly for Orient for scouting players that are currently playing here.(Many of whom are English.) I’m talking about coaching trees, long term connections and relationships, and moneyball scouting of diamonds in the rough. I’m probably being overly optimistic, but you never know.

Surprised at that appointment. Not done anything of note so far other than jump from ship to ship. He has to produce here or I feel further chances will be very limited for him as a head coach.

I thought our owners would have scouted some talent from the USA and had trials at Brizzy Rd by now .

He started off well at QPR, but jumped ship to Rangers before following through on it. I agree, fail at Sunderland and that brief period of success at QPR starts to look like a flash in the pan

Steve Cooper sacked by Nottingham Forest. Ex Wolves & Spurs boss Nino Espirito Santo in formal talks with club about taking over from Cooper.

Santo seems like a nice guy so Forest will sink with dignity.

Shame as Cooper as done a bloody good job at Forest. He had players pushed on him he never asked for nor wanted. He will come again and be all the better for it.

Col U's women's team manager "leaves". They are a new team for 2023 and he did all the setting up. Whether the team will continue is not known.
