Fractured his ankle in the home game the other night. Didn't know that. I thought they'd hounded him out for being chronically slow. I don't know if it's in the same class as Thompson's mishap. I heard it initially described as a fracture but closer inspection after a couple of days may hopefully reveal something less serious. |

Very true,desperate times for the O's.Wonder what Steve Davis is doing now.This has been coming to Southend for years.Used to be go down to the Conference,go up the first season.Not so now,non league football is producing some excellent teams with ambitious owners.Relegated league clubs are finding it increasingly difficult to get promoted back. Ron Martin - Essex’s very own version of Becchetti!😁👍 they would be better getting Steve Martiin at least you new you were getting a true comedian. |

Breaking news..... Curle from Oldham to Doncaster.... Easy commute for Curle (lives in Sheffield). Easy money for Doncaster to prize him away from doomed Oldham. All depends on Saturday's results. Do you mean Oldham will fold.I do hope not,some of the most boring games are played out between us and them.Add to that Hull City,I often walked home backwards after some of those matches to clear my head. My good friend in Oldham tells me (off the record) that the current owner is close to a deal that liquidates the club. Seems like it is dragging on. Curle is a decent man, and he deserves better than giving CPR to clubs in crisis-mode. |
