But he has loyalty to his family as well as his employer. That may well have been a factor, the Manchester area near his home town of Chester and where he has worked before, perhaps is a better fit for him and his family. Not unusual these days for people to move for personal, family reasons. Woods and Beckles did the same, Wilkinson had links in the Walsall area, for DJ a move to Mansfield is closer, still a long way mind, to his family. But I agree, in business, money talks. Don’t see why it should be different in football. |

Sure, “personal reasons “ may well have been a component but in that case, I wonder why Challinor ( allegedly) turned down the job at Tranmere a short while back? Would have been right on his doorstep as he was born in Chester and he played for Tranmere for 7 or 8 seasons. I suspect £ was the deciding factor ( and nothing intrinsically wrong with that). |
