Perfecting the art of staying out-of-touch with things, am I correct in sensing an imminent disappointment looming for our directors when we miss the target by... Oooh... a thousand or more? You'll notice I have incorporated into the question - my defence against the likely "don't be bloody negative" attacks when they come .

6,000. Highly unlikely. Would be nice. Can see 5,000 assuming a decent away following. Planning to get to the SC early for my prematch pint.
Will be nice if we get a decent crowd not to screw it up with a bad performance.

Hope there are 6,000. Doubt if Mansfield will bring more than 250, but lovely day predicted, team going well, so only thing I can see stopping us filling the ground, is family birthdays. My grandson has a party during the day, best friend wants me to dress up in the evening, so given my ticket away to a friend

I would be surprised if attendances this season aren’t down from what they would have been pre COVID times across the board, for all clubs. As much as we can all agree, football in empty stadiums wasn’t great, and everyone is happy fans can attend again, I’d imagine there’s still a lot of people who’ve taken a risk assessment and decided it’s better with other fans in the stadium, just not them right yet.

My thoughts too. Maybe we lost a fair few who've realised there are other things to do on a Saturday... cheaper things?

The answer is two pints. 🍺🍺

Lot of people had lower outgoings whilst working from home, so there is money to spend out there. I thought we sold 4,000 season cards? If so it's the floaters that we need to attract back in.

Covid definitely having an impact on attendances still.
String together a few more wins though and I think the gravitational pull of the O's will get them back.

I think my trouble is the hassle of driving to Leyton and the charges that are incurred plus the pre booking at the stadium and just in general it all being too hard to make the trip nowadays . You cant just turn up anymore on a day when you felt you wanted to watch Orient !

You cant just turn up anymore on a day when you felt you wanted to watch Orient ! Agree about the driving, for me it was two hours plus each way and then the struggle to park. Go by train now. Still a long way but at least I can read and chat to fans of other clubs on the train. Having a SC helps with the issues getting tickets. Definitely a pain otherwise. Those four windows in the West, what a pain that was.

Is it not possible to just turn up on the day and buy a ticket with a card? It is. Don’t know what it’s like now, have a SC, but historically when I queued in the West stand you could enjoy a few birthdays waiting to get served at the windows.

I’ll be amazed if there are 6000 there on Saturday unless a load of tickets have been given away.

Fisch, you can of course turn up and buy a ticket (card only) at one of the 4 ticket windows at the west stand and in all honesty the queue moves quite quickly.

Looking at onlyoneorient.com there are a lot of seats available in east stand so don’t expect much more than 5,000 if that
