He was even a teacher at my old Secondary Modern School, after I had left of course.

This YouTube channel seems to manage to get hold of these old long lost football film memories of the past.
Here is the story of this match which I have copied and pasted from the video. Just click where it says watch on YouTube !

The top two sides in the Second Division meet at Brisbane Road and in the crowd are show biz celebrities Arthur Askey and Cliff Richard (then enjoying chart success with The Young Ones). The teams look almost identical in the bright spring sunshine - Liverpool, kicking left to right, having the dark tops to their socks and a stripe down their shorts. Pictures not of the highest quality unfortunately. Former Wolves forward Norman Deeley nearly gives the O's the lead, but Jim Furnell saves well. Malcolm Graham does put them ahead just before the interval, cutting inside Ron Yeats before scoring with an excellent shot from the edge of the box (1-0). Half time. Orient have further chances but with ten minutes to go hesitancy in their defence allows Alan A'Court to equalise (1-1). Minutes later they regain lead with a sensational strike from full back Eddie Lewis - his only goal of the season (2-1). Liverpool rescue a point when Jimmy Melia, Ian St John and Roger Hunt combine to set up a chance for A'Court who scores with an accurate low shot, in off the post. Final score 2-2 and both sides were promoted at the end of the season.''

Wonderful.
I was there, and it was one of the best games I have ever seen - anywhere, not just at Brisbane Rd.

Like many of us, I was there. And the following season in division 1 where we won 2-1 from memory.
