Wow! Good signing! So surprised. Thought he was a dead cert to go back to the Cherries! Great work rate and good with the ball. Hopefully will turn into a longer loan

On 30 January 2011, Burnley submitted a bid believed to be in the region of £1m. AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell had said that no Bournemouth players were leaving in the January transfer window but Bartley gave him no choice but to accept the bid from Burnley after refusing to play for Bournemouth again if the bid was rejected.

Great signing, hopefully we can turn it permanent shortly. Although I was hoping that new CM was more of a playmaker Matt Spring type & Bartley seems more the Dawson type.

I'm making the point that we he's a good player, but not in a position that we need. We need a more attacking CM.
Plus he will play anywhere between 1-3 games for the us & then never pull on an Orient shirt ever again so don't get to excited Kbola.

He probably will go back after 28 days so what are you so worried about highway? I am sure Slade will get in a good attacking CM in the future. |

From what u could gather, Vincelot will be the driving attacking force.
James the playmaker and Bartley the enforcer.
I think the 28 days can be extended. It works both ways, if he's good and wants to stay then great, we'll extend and then try to sign permanently. If he's not all he's cracked up to be then we'll still be looking at other options over the next month.

28 days will take us just about up to the close of the transfer window. I'm Slightly perplexed by this signing, sure It's a chance to have a look at him but he's not played in pre season because of injury so I doubt he'll start on Saturday as he's had no game time in friendlies.
I assume Burnley will be paying the major part of his wages as we are basically taking him to help him get fit, tbf If he got himself fit long term he'd be a great asset but I doubt we could afford his wages and having cost Burnley near on a reported £1million from Bournemouth they would want to recoup a good part of that.

In 28 days time a lot of players will be asking for wages around 40-50% less than today.
He mentioned Holland at Charlton a few times, Shaun Derry too.

Does seem like a weird signing, I think it shows russ has no options to sign there ATM but is hoping someone pops up in a few weeks,
Shaun Derry would be decent btw,

Slade had the option of loaning him for 93 days, but turned it down as burnley wanted a 24 hour return clause in that
Im not so sure this is a good deal for us........just cant make up my mind
