I didn't listen I am afraid - if anyone heard him on the SportsBar did he say anything interesting about Orient? If you want to listen here is the link but he was on for two hours so I haven't got time to listen to it all!

I'm kind of with you the.
Well I don't think I am against him as much you I have never really warmed to Bazza.
He seems too much up his own bum coming out with comments on radio before about how Orient fans are lucky to have him and it is not really worth his while owning a football team.
But if Orient do well he is always the first to come on and lap up the credit.
Also his 'little Leyton Orient' spiel is wearing thin.
We all know he would love to sell out Brisbane Road and cash up for his retirement.
I can't say he hasn't done OK with Orient but I don't think Orient will get any further than they already are with him in charge.

Further to that.... When I first went to watch Orient the season before they were promoted (OK I'm a newbie compared so some of you but my first game was a 3-1 loss to Mansfield Town and I came back again...) there was quite a lot of anti- Hearn chants from the South Stand. I heard at 3-0 down, 'are you watching Barry Hearn?' and even some 'f##k off Hearn' chants. I thought blimey this is a club in some problems. With promotion it all became more sedate but if Orient don't go up this season do you think there will be more anti-Hearn stuff on the terraces again?

If you are quite new to Orient you would of missed the "mindless moron" saga where Hearn lambasted paying punter's right to boo in the late 90s by insulting them thus.. I sensed disdain then and have not witnessed anything to the contrary since. He has kept us afloat by stripping us of our assetts and I am getting to the point where I am so sick of his lack of ambition on the field and his arrogance towards fans off it. His apologists always retort to these pragmatic assessments by saying "you put your money in then" and other such futile inanities.

Perhaps in your view the it might sound futile but I shall repeat it nevertheless. If uncle Bazza had not have bought the club someone else might have with perhaps the same plan as Bazza or even far worse. How do you know that wouldn't have happened. You don't! Anyone could have bought the club ---we were dirt cheap and going out of business several times since the 70's.I have never known this club not be in financial trouble, except now, where we still lose money, the debts are covered and the club has a sense of stableness. Not enough eh!!! Why not throw in a couple of play off finals,a Promotion, good cup runs and probably one of the best managers(at the present time)in the football league. Like it or not my friends often talk affectionately about "Little Leyton Orient" and "how does your club survive on such small crowds".It's almost like some kind of a miracle that we are able to punch way above our weight for such a tiny club. PS if you do find or know anyone who can do it better please please tell us all.

Its not money fron his pocket its money from asset stripping I would rather a chairman who wasnt disingenuous about our success even if it was terminal but I know that is a minority view Suppose I am a fantasist wanting someone at the helm who would actually buy players and proactively seek furtherance

You're so right the.
Hearn is both a charlatan and a fake.
Get rid and Orient may actually achieve something.

By the time I got to work and put the sports bar on he had already spoken about orient,
I don't like how he keeps calling us small, yes we are small ATM but why doesn't he try to make us big, doesn't it make sence for him to get us up then we would be worth more, plus bigger crowds, tv deals etc etc, then if he ever wants to sell he can ask for more.

Why does bazza keep saying small? This knob needs to go. let's use this board to launch the anti bazza offensive from next season because orient won't be up. All reading this should sing against the crud and change the future.

It's a shame a few of us didn't get to ring him up on talk sport and ask him all about it. I get it in he's position not many people challenge him. We need to change that.
