Matt Roper got arrested so I'm told. Lots of verbals, plenty of C bombs apparently among other choice words according to my sources.

I don't know if he got arrested but the law were having a word after the game as they took quite a few people over to the North Stand for statements and I hung around to be nosey. There were lots of corroborating stories from people of all races and colours pleading with the police that a racist incident didn't occur. I sit in the North and the incident seemed to happen in the west so I've no real idea what happened. But there was a sizeable crowd that were insistent that nothing happened. |

I'm not suggesting he used racist words at all as I don't think he would do that. The manager did pull the 4th official who told a steward who went in the crowd and then the police came. I can believe he was giving verbals to their bench though.

I was a couple of rows behind it all police arrested him after the game and carted him off allegedly for racist abuse if so should be lifetime ban

I followed right behind as he was led away by the police and he was protesting his innocence saying that he wasn’t a racist I missed the actual incident so I can’t confirm or deny what was said but we are a community club and if found guilty he should be banned for life too many times he aims foul and abusive language at visiting opponents bench and some people think it’s funny but there’s always quite a few kids in the west stand and while we all get the hump when things don’t go our way I for one don’t want to hear his bile week after week

Hopefully the whole thing was a storm in a teacup, although the language he uses does go beyond the pale. Even if the racism allegation is unfounded, at the very least the club should put him on notice about his use of extreme obscenities.

He is the owner of the fanzine Pandemonium and he has very close links with the club and is a committee member of LOFT.
