Tom James, Dan Happe, Craig Clay, Theo Archibald, Paul Smythe sounds the basis of a good squad for next season.
And then..
Ethan Coleman, Jordan Brown, with a further year of development under their belt. Should really be pushing the likes of Kyprianou, Clay, Pratley and being used to deputise when needed.
And then..
Young, Papadopoulos, Byrne. Should possibly start to feature a bit more.
And then..
Nkrumah, Tanga, Obiero should step up into the squads.
It all looks pretty promising at the moment.
I suppose the areas of immediate concern are if James and Archibald don't sign on, a Pratley replacement possibly, Ruel leaves.
And the BIG issue is i think we still need that Labadie / Ebou Adams / Box-to-Box midfielder that we've craved for several years now.

I’m told we are looking at adding some experience to the squad for next season. Sounds good to me, we’ve some decent young players who need some help and support of ready made and good to go players who will help and aid their development.

I don’t see Coleman and Brown as L2 material even next season.

I hope we don’t go into the season lacking depth and with an emphasis on good youth available when needed, it just don’t work.
Of course we need to maintain some options in the budget for January. But let’s have some depth
And let’s have the basis of the squad in place so we can have a proper pre-season.
And let’s not sign players carrying injuries. Unless we are sure they are minor.

I wonder how many of those players RW worked with at Swindon we'll be looking at.

Seeing Richie's age and ambition and from what we've seen so far I think we've found a round peg that fits in a round hole.
My only concern now is will the board back him with the wonga.

Lot of ambiguity in that statement. He will be a Lincoln player at the start of the season but it seems to me there is an opportunity there for Orient to step in and do a deal. Sounds like Lincoln would not stand in his way. Would be surprised if RW didn’t want him. Theo knows he is liked by the fans and likely to have regular first team football. A window of opportunity.
