No surprise really been shown the door by Leyton Orient
He's off to pursue his career in Canada
Good luck to the young man
This Samsung pro thing seems to be one big farce I don't think anyone that has won the competition from any of the clubs involved has made it to the next step
Seems to be a waste of time
Thoughts please!!!!!

It does seem unlikely that a random member of the public will turn out to be the next Messi.
Might work at non-league level but even League One is a very high standard of professional football.

Does it really matter if it is a waste of time,it'Samsungs money,it's their waste of time and it's free publicity for Orient and you never know a real pearl might turn up. Oh yer and the player probably comes out of it with a bit more than when he went in.

Can't remember him winning a competition of any sort but I do recall Millwall where very interested in him to and we did get him on a 3 year contract I think Tommy Taylor was the Manager at the time and I think it was Paul Brush who put him on the transfer list stating that his part time modelling was effecting his Football I think he went on to play for Shrewsbury after us

Scored the first goal in the play off semi final leg vs Hull City but I think that game will be remembered for the thunderbolt winner by Matt Lockwood

We used to run a similar competition here in oz, but it was open to lads no more then 21, thus the lad could play in the a-league teams youth squad, of all the winners, 4 or so, only one lad made a first team appearance, he made a couple to be fair but that was only cause of injuries, the squad size back then was only 20-22 players, when you count 3 goalkeepers there's not a lot of players left. No idea what any if the winners are doing now, pay guess would be playing in there local state comps, only semi pro.
