Hopefully this was a sign for things to come.
Get down Brisbane Road next Saturday and make good use of your ticket!

Even with it being holiday season with the 2000 free tickets there should be a decent crowd next saturday.

After over 40 years of misery and thousands of pounds spent supporting Orient, I will be mightily miffed if these freeloading Johnny-come-latelys have a brilliant season watching footy at Brisbane Road. It's just not what being an O's fan is all about.

Forget about those free season tickets, if they really cared about the O's then they wouldn't need a the invitation of a free season ticket to get to a club on there door step. Where have they been for the last 10 years? There only coming because it's free.

There all students & it's up to anyone 21 or under, so many of them are going to be 19 & 20. They don’t care about the club, they are only there because it's free, there plastic supports & there contribution nothing because there not even paying to be there. Stupid idea, should've just given cheaper season tickets & then real O's supports who can't afford to go regularly would've been able to.

Dont agree with highway at all
If half of those who got a freebie, become hooked on the O's, then we will have 1000 regular new supporters
and who knows, maybe 3/4 will become hooked on Orient
In the coming years they'll be paying for their tickets, and as they grow and get older, their own kids will come
Win win, I say

Really can't see how anyone can be down about the free season tickets to the youth.
It really does benefit everyone. A few points.
1. The club hasn't given the tickets away. Matchroom have bought them from LOFC and are giving them away as sponsored tickets. So that's 2,000 tickets at (arguably) £200 a pop = £400,000.00 of which 60% is going towards the budget. So there's an extra £240,000.00 in the kitty that has been used on the likes of Bartley, Vincelot & new contracts for Baudry & Cuthbert.
2. Yeah you're right, they probably ain't O's fans. But if half of them turn up, buy a burger, buy a programme and are served up football like which we see yesterday then they'll come back for more. Even more so if their mates were signed up too.
3. The East Stand will look better even slightly filled up and hopefully they'll get into the spirit and create a bit of atmosphere over there.
Or we just do nothing. Or possibly offer cheaper tickets to those that would pay full-price anyway reducing our budget further.
This scheme really should be commended.

Don't worry Highway, Orient will probably be dire against Shrewsbury and most of the 'plastics' will burn their free season tickets. Every time I have taken someone along to Orient with the hope they might want to come back the team have put them off for life

Hope we win but if not that's a positive, the plastics might stay away. They are going to bring no money or atmosphere, waste of time.
Don't worry about it Kbola, in that case they are just glory hunters, you have to appreciate the struggle, that's what it's all about supporting a 3rd tier team.

Have you taken a survey of all these people and asked them if there going to buy food and or drinks once there? Or maybe scarfs and or jerseys? No you haven't, who's to say we do turn these people into life long fans, and judging by your somewhat silly point Leyton orient don't already have student aged fans? I know of a fair few student aged fans who have been orient fans for years who have got a free season ticket, i believe someone has got a chip on there shoulder,

Yeah cause the atmosphere at home is awesome Group of people tried to set up the orient ultras to try and make some atmosphere at games and it got shut down, who knows maybe the young kids will do what the old lads have been trying to do for years,
