Manchester City are facing the threat of relegation after being charged by the Premier League with more than 100 alleged breaches of financial regulations following a four-year investigation.
If the charges are proved it could lead to a range of sanctions, including a points deduction with the ultimate sanction being expulsion from the league.
Maybe they can join National League North.

My Essex based Hornchurch supporter would love to see them at their ground.
I think Bridge Avenue is too restrictive for their car parking

I think it is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. It is, however, the end of the beginning.
Or something like that.

Yes - it must of been the excitement of the thought of the regulations kicking in I did like city in the decade of the 1970s though

Man City can afford better lawyers than the Premier League. City will win the case.

They play in the southern this year but a few years back they were in the northern. I think Chelmsford might of also played in northern but can’t confirm.

I don't doubt that but it's taken 5 years to get to this point. The investigation started in 2018. City will just string it out until it costs too much to keep on going and then offer some type of monetary settlement.

Man City can afford better lawyers than the Premier League. City will win the case. Not so sure. There will be a lot of people wanting Man City to fail and will support the premier league. This will go on for a few years tho

Man City can afford better lawyers than the Premier League. City will win the case. I suspect that is about right. They can throw money at it and ultimately will get away with a big fine and a points deduction. Maybe a ban from Europe for a year or two. At worst. A points deduction a compromise to avoid years of arguing. But it’s like all these things, it’s for others to prove they broke the rules, not for them to prove they did not. And rules. Like all forms of rules and regulations are open to interpretation and that’s why Lawyers make money. These things are rarely as clear cut as it seems. Interpretation comes into play and ultimately you cannot blame the club if the rules are not clear and unambiguous. Lawyers will dig out the ambiguity.
