Well that’s that. Maybe that means Happe will be back. I am sure they will try to find a replacement for Smyth, but I also wonder how Drinan’s role will change and if he will be more of the focus again as under KJ.

Both Vigs and Smythe were always going to leave at least they helped get us promoted they are both too good for league one it's a shame because if the squad that finished last season remained i truly believe we would have been in with a decent chance of challenging but let's see who RW gets in

No suprise Smyth and Vigs have gone. Too much noise around them not to expect it.
I'm very interested to see how Smyth performs in the Championship. He did it in L2 but the Championship is a massive step up. I genuinely wish him all the best and I hope he does very well.
As for Vigs. I'd love to be watching a Premiership game and see Vigs in goal. Like Smyth, I wish him all the best.
Can't blame either for moving on, but only thank them for their contribution last season.

Smyth can handle the championship no problem ability wise. The test for him will be staying fit, which has not always proven possible for him down the years.

Im happy for Smyth. Hes going to earn a packet and play in a higher league. Not one of us would have turned that down. I wish him all the best and glad we had a brief but utterly consuming time with him. He leaves a legend.

The club's Twitter announcement on Smyth was much more businesslike than the Vigs one. Feels as if the relationship may not have ended on a high note. Never mind.

Smyth is a talented footballer as we all know
I wish him all the very best at QPR.
I read the transcript of his interview on QPR web page.
He obviously talks only about himself, and yes one mention of orient may of shown some inner feelings within an interview about himself.
Maybe he is so excited he felt the interview should be just about himself. That not unreasonable.
I don’t understand the words that don’t demonstrate in this age of forensic dissection any mention of Orient. I mean he uses a word like “loan” which is actually very negative to lofc . The wrong word to use. He was given a full contract at lofc which I believe included multiple medical and gym rehabilitation periods.
However his wife stated clearly in the family interviews what he thought about orient when she praised lofc dressing room for him.
He is young ambitious with a young baby I wish him all the very best - he must be judged by his football ability not an interview technique. He personal attributes may not include verbal expression to please everyone.

The one good thing about Smyth's departure is that I no longer object to people calling him Smythe. In fact, now he's gone he seems more like a Smythe to me.😄
