The one good thing about Smyth's departure is that I no longer object to people calling him Smythe. In fact, now he's gone he seems more like a Smythe to me.😄 Nice to see that annoyed someone else too 😂 |

I recall seeing an incident on video when a young fan (9 yo ish) asked Dan Happe for an autograph which Dan was happyto give. Immediately Paul Smyth took the mickey out of the kid by mimicking his high pitched voice in front of the assembled group and the kid. I immediately thought "wrong'un". He is a top player but it seems he was embarrassed to be playing at little Leyton Orient. His "on loan to Orient" comment comes as no real surprise.

I cannot see how your post as described gives the negative impression of Smyth
I mean I remember Monty python using different voice tones to create humour - but I can’t understand your conclusion.
I am sure Smyth must of done one or more actions after a match interface with a fan(S) that showed he was of reasonable intelligence in terms of human behaviour and dignity.

All I focus on is Smyth's ten (being the number RW quoted) wonder goals that secured us the game's three points. Without them we may have not been promoted.
We're in L1 and he's moved on. Nothing more to say.

QPR have a couple of big home games coming up against Millwall and Huddersfield. If they lose them, they will be cast adrift in the bottom three.
On the upside, should they drop, an easy trip across London for an away game for the mighty Os next season :-).
