It was never going ot be the smooth pre season that we had last year with the key players all staying or signing extended contracts.
Last year has raised their profiles to other clubs and until the take over finishes one way or the other Russel wont be able to do much by the look of it, thats if he keeps his job if the take over happens....

Things will get sorted but it might be tight towards the end.
A manager, Slade or otherwise needs to be in place before the friendly matches.

Surely we are now awash with cash, we have all the extra money that our tv appearances and play off final generated , the £150,000 kindly bequeathed to us, the £1,000000 from the sale of Moses, and the premier league settlement , plus probably a billionaire owner.
Normally we would have assembled our new faces by now , but I suspect Russell was waiting to see just how much cash was available.
I don't think it is now unrealistic to look at players a level above our normal acquisitions.

Don't think that cash is the problem, more a case of who's gonna be in charge and whether or not they want their own people and players in.
